Do you do any water work? Much better for joints and way more static than weights.
Wade in until you're just over the shoulder and punch under water, we also use rags towels to add weight/resistance. Wrap your hands, also big fan of these videos you have done great tips
Great advice. I'd try do this in HS with 5 - 10 pound like a dumb dumb would love some kettlebell advice next if got any tips usually just watch that old Russian guy but always looking for new tips

I like it but worry about the joints wearing out. Would a weighted vest not be better?
Ankle weights are probably better than a vest for not wearing out the knees in particular.

I’m confused, are you using and recommending this as endurance/conditioning exercise or as something to increase the power or snap of your strikes? If it’s that latter you’re not doing anything, a punch is a movement dependent on speed, if you need to increase power use strength training exercises especially focused on hip and core rotation would do that, and of course still training and sparring. Adding weight to your punches is just slowing you down and making you tired with which of course if you’re trying to work and getting exhausted and keeping your hands up would work well, but not in making your strikes more potent.

@@dickwellington8578 I stand corrected, and easily it was done. I reckon I was attacking just about everyone online last night brother. Not today. I'll go rally out a fine, challenging day for myself and apologise on the way out. Great to refine his advice and add to it. I'll catch up to the insight if I'm lucky.
