Nope, we CAN NOT use a set dollar amount to measure middle class. You have to use a set list of things middle class should be able to afford. Food, mortgage, utilities, 1 vacation a yr, medal care, childcare, transportation with enough extra to set asside for retirement. THAT is the standard of middle class
Easy! one income that's enough to buy a home, 2 cars, and raise a family. That is middle class. some places are cheaper to live in then others, that's why calculating through assets is better.
