Autumn seriously gets on my nerves. If she has a fear of driving she can get around other ways, but also not having a job, is pretty ballsy to ask if you can move out

Tasha Moyer totally true, but based on this clip she doesn't have a budget, and she's still insisting for support which will eventually be their money.

She’s like every other 18 year old who thinks that she knows everything. I started teaching our kids at a young age about life skills. Budgets, how to do laundry (my 19 year old daughter has friends at school who don’t know how to do laundry!) , etc. So many young adults don’t know how much utility bills are or how much food is.

They should make her start with buying her own food and “paying” rent meaning have her pay a little something each month. Then they can save it up for her. • @sarahlynnox

I think she needs to start slow. Like get a driver's license, then save for a car, then apply and get accepted into a collage and than move out when time comes. I didn't move out until I was 20 years old, and even then I wasn't sure if I wanted too. It's hard, me and my husband (bf at the time of moving out) was such a struggle. It took us about a year to actually get on our feet. And I live in Canada so things might be different. But I definitely think she should set small goals. Moving out without a job is HAAARRDDD and will be harder

I’m going to be 19 next week, I had a job (left due to injury), I have a paid of car, phone, and insurance plan for 12 months, I have thousands saved up, and I have a 700+ credit score. I accomplished all of this the first full year of my adult life. Autumn has done NOTHING to prepare herself for the real world. I was scared of driving for the longest and I started driving on my own and a week later I had my license then two days later I had my own car and I had a good job. Once I turned 18 I started focusing on my long term goals and those were important steps. I was naive at first thinking 1500$ was enough saved in my accounts but the pandemic hit and slapped tf outta me and made me realize how low my savings were. I’ve been picking myself off the ground for most of the year and I’ve come back up. Autumn has not matured enough to live on her own. I wanted to live on my own but I’d be an idiot to not admit that I was wrong to think I could move out at 18 on my own. But now at 19 I think I’ll be ready next fall when it’s time for me to head to a real in person university and live on my own and start my life.

She wants to do all this stuff, cut her a break lol her eyes are bad she said. she isn’t seeing how truly difficult all that is esp for an 18 yr old 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ so first things first let’s get them eyes fixed Miss Autumn lol maybe then you’ll see what your Mom is trying to explain to you.

I moved out at 17. I had 3 jobs, went to college, & didn't go back home. I've always had a steady job, most of the time two. I think it depends on your parents & what they teach you growing up. I was self sufficient & knew I could rely on my family if I needed to go back home. I didn't need to though so I never did. It was risky but it depends on you & what you want to accomplish.

Honestly, no! Autumn has no idea what it's like out there on her own. I think Christy and Todd are doing the right thing by telling her how it is in the real world.

I think you should not convince your child that it's impossible but like Christy and todd are doing is good priorities in line and start with liscens first that's good. Instead of makeing your child/children think they cant ever do nothing that will hold them back and make them scared to get out there and try! Give them encouragement but warn them too on what's out there:) that's just my opinion and only my opinion not telling anyone what to do😊

No she isn’t ready cause she can’t see the bigger picture and she has a hard time hearing her parents concerns. I was just like her at 20- I thought I knew it all and boy was I wrong..... she should slow down and do what dad said- plan out a list and then take it step by step ❤️😌

No, I don't think Autumn is ready to move out because she doesn't have a car to get her places, she has no job to pay the bills, and she don't have a good dose of reality. Also, not a lot of 18 year old's move out. Please don't give me hate. P.S you should just let her open the door of reality and she will be back in 1 week or less.

Autumn is kind of a brat. She screams yells & curses. Christy does nothing she is not being held accountable. It's funny how several seasons later Autumn is 100% dependent on Christy & cant do anything because of what I think are made up illness/disease hypochondriac

christy and todd have concerns and thats completely natural if that was my child i be saying the exact thing or even way worse. you cant spread your wings without reality its not easy to get a job or work and study its not easy to pay bills have a set amount of money for this or that its definitely hard to run a household whether your single with a bf or have kids its hard .

I wanted to move out from my grandparents house because they’re too controlling and won’t let me live my youth. Nor did they ever let go out with friends or spend the day at my bfs house. That started when I was 18 and wanted to do whatever I want. But they know I’m not ready for adulthood, 21 is when I decided to move out but it was tough for me not having a license or a stable job. A lot of 18 year olds wants to do whatever they want but shit hits you hard when it comes to going through life on your own depending on the knowledge you have on life and other things you should know about adult responsibilities.

Where I live it's starting to get very expensive like a kid will move out and they're back a couple months later at their parents. I have a job making my money and helping with rent so guess what? I'm not going anywhere
