With all the metal clanging and the steam coming up, it had kind of a spooky, unreal atmosphere going on in the climatic scene. With all the tall tales surrounding Sam Hill, I was reminded of Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill, and John Henry.
Edgar Buchanan...really, truly wonderful in this. His saloon scene showed great timing and phrasing. Even if he owed a little something to WC Fields, for the conversation with the saloon girl, he was very funny in this. Thank you...you tube producer, for posting this re-play.

Interesting how each person has his/her own characteristics, how they move, speak, walk, use their arms and hands, and in this episode we get an eye full of all of this. Including a wave of the metaphysical including a grave sight confession of murder. As well Edgar Buchanan and the deep baritone voice of Claude Akins, and the makeup. And all that shining base on their faces, seem's almost ghostly?
