what's the goal of this game ? i got this game in my wanted game waiting for next rebait day somthing above 20% hopefully =/ sound fun but feel like a lot of diffrent game like ark and that kind of game also have a discord with people who has the game to talk about the game id love to get more information about it
At it's core Icarus is just a survival game. In the base game they have a number of different missions that have you completing certain objectives which can unlock new areas on the map and there's a bit of story flavor that goes along with each mission but it's a pretty standard survival game experience where you build up to better tiers of weapons and equipment to complete the objective starting over with each new mission. There is an open world option where you can just play the survival portion of the game in a persistent world. With the New Frontiers DLC they've added a short number of sequential story missions which you can access even from open world (which they are going to do for the base game maps / missions in a future update) This has been a welcome addition but it's still a very story light game with a focus on survival / crafting.
I cant imagine you've played for this long without finding it out so you must know that abandoned bodies cause predators to spawn in with increased frequency. So the dozens of bodies you are leaving around must be to intentionally increase the wolf spawn rate for views.
Honestly I kind of forgot that bodies are supposed to attract animals. I guess I never interpurted that as increasing the rate at which they spawn but rather just attracted already spawned animals in the area to my location. Things were spawning quite fast in that area compared to what I've experienced in other places. I feel like that's generally true during operations in general though.
Whenever you kill something it respawns on a timer. Sometimes it respawns almost instantly. Normally they follow their usual pathing and unless you agro them by getting too close, they will leave you alone. But if you have bodies laying around the scavenge protocols interrupt their normal pathing and will draw predators in. If you kill something for attacking your base, then the body is close enough that anything moving towards it will detect and then attack your base. A fun little trick is to carry around one of the lower level creature repellents whenever you are doing remote missions. It wont do anything about mission related aggressors, but it will get rid of the normal spawns. Which can ease a bit of the load.@@KederkBuilds
The sound design of this game is so immersive
Great episode!
If you put windows into the little hut, the wildlife will stop attacking the hut to get to your mount,
