Being an Xbox player i cant play bloodborne and on my search to find a good walk through this is the first of many game plays that don't have an idiot who doesn't know what to do or someone annoying. Thank you Cowboy .
It gets annoying watching guys that need to git gud. There's 3 different kinds of playthroughs out there that I have seen, guys like Cowboy who know what they're doing, guys that have no idea what's going on, and guys that have no idea what's going on but they also like to attempt "funny" comedy during their playthrough to compensate for their absolutely horrible gameplay.
I feel like people are terrible on purpose at this game, since it isn't necessarily that hard to get the hang of.. All it takes is a bit of playtime before you learn how to effectively dodge (Of course parrying and riposting might come a bit later).

Bloodborne is my favorite. Its where I started playing souls games.
I've been a "seasonal gamer" my whole life (not seasoned) and I died in the town square all night and the next morning. I went back to my old Megaman 3 NES days telling the system I wasn't gonna play it
To kill the big guy you have to use the gun to stun him. You do this when he starts an attack. Then, you press R1 to do an execution. Then you hit him once more. That's it. Just for anyone starting the game.

It's always interesting to see the variety of paths people take. Like why go down the latter?
You and I play similar when it comes to exploring the places, it's things Dark souls vets pick up on that normal players new to the game dont see.

Yeah. I don't know. Just a theory. How do you perform that swinging maneuver with the axe? Looks very effective if you wanna kill your enemy a lot faster. Pretty badass, bro.
Love how 3500 blood echoes seem a lot at the beginning ! Then after a while your carrying a few hundred thousand 😂😂

I guess the thing with STR weapons is that they are slow. I myself went for the Saw Spear. So indeed you need to time these attacks with this axe. So far for me, saw spear I like. Super fast and a thrust transfor R2 attack ;) like your vids cowboy

How terrifying would Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Demons Souls be if it was possible to play it in VR?
The farthest I can get in this game is where you are at 18:24. There seems to be two routes you can take. Either the bridge where the two werewolves are or down to the sewers with the huge rats. I tried to go down the sewers because I was told there's good armor in there but the rats ganged up on me and killed me. Then I tried to do the bridge with the werewolves and distract one of them but both came after me. I was able to kill one of them but the other one ended up killing me. Can somebody help me out? What should I do, cowboy?

I farmed 15000 Echoes before my first level up had trouble with the fat dude and wolves at first, now only the cursed dungeons provide a huge rapey session to me.

does this game have any connection (story/lore wise) to dark souls?
The Extinct Surgeon As far as I have read and seen (I've beaten the game, with only a few loose ends) There is no connection. Whatsoever. At all. As far as I know, the land has never been called anything other than Yharnam, and we have no key characters that are similar. There's no Solaire, and no Sunbros, no Dark. There is blood, the hunt, and rage-quit inducing NPC hunters. There's no Praise the Sun. That's how badly Miyazaki wanted to stress, "This is not just another Souls game." You play defensive for too long? You die. Sorry to sound harsh, but that's my opinion. Hope i helped you understand the insanity of the world of Bloodborne! (Probably not)

Same deal. So far, no similarities. Though, as I also said, "-with only a few loose ends." I have not beaten the chalice dungeons, or the moon presence. There my be, for all I know. And the phrase "Umbasa" from one of the leaked vids, has been cut out of Gascoigne's dialogue, sadly. Would've been cool to hear him say that.

So....this is a narrative continuation of Dark Souls? Never played them...they always looked too clunky. I hate jumping into a franchise in the middle of a story.....maybe I'll play them after all.

Bloodborne isn't in the same continuity as Dark Souls, no. The plot of Dark Souls is contained to DS/DS2. It's possible they're _maybe_ in the same universe, but... For the most part, they're seperate stories.
That's one of the best parts about these games, there is basically no story unless you go searching for it. You have to read item descriptions, find collectible notes, talk to NPC's, and even notice scenic connections in the world to find the story the developers intended to be heard. You could play this game with your own imaginative story in your head with the lack of forceful plot progression. There is no continuation in story-line between these games aside from Dark Souls 1 and 2, and even then it's a lore-hunting stretch

oh my god you have a gun for a reason use it more often against bigger enemies and still trying to get the heavy attack and you could stagger them and do a lot more damage a lot more faster it's really annoying seeing you complain about getting hit when you have a gun to stagger things

Because it was done before I started doing dedicated walkthoughs, that's why it's called a "Gameplay Walkthrough" and not "100% Walkthrough" like everything else.

Video game players are sucking today. You are given hints to help you yet you cannot switch to your gun on time while using axe. Come on. Games like this teach you to defend your ass from future enemies who will rip you apart yet you cannot make the game experience more fun when you already have some okay senses. Darn. If you already have bullets use your gun.
