First time I heard that harmony my mind instantly jumped to the future (cuz it's McFly y'know) with Steven saying "HARMONY" and now I'm living this future)) Love McFly, love this version, so beautiful and with the right amount of spooky Cristmas spirit. It's so addictive I can't explain. What's even more fun - my dad who's always been sceptical of my music taste (the one that doesn't coincide with his own lol) loved the song so much he signed up to Spotify to stream it! Life is good :)

First heard this song in 1982 from the film The Snowman, hated it, it was sang by a choir boy and very angelic, Oh my god, MCFLY'S version is brilliant, so different 🥰

I have to say, there were so many moments in the melody, the grungy guitar distortion and the drums that reminded me of Built to Spill. Of course Danny and Doug Martsch have very different vocals and vocal ranges, but if Doug Martsch was singing vocals on this it easily would fit on any one of Built to Spills albums... This song is awesome and McFly knocked it out of the park with this one, hope they have more of this sound in store for us....

Love this version so much! But you need to check out the original by Howard Blake to see just how much Mcfly made it their own! Definite favourite Christmas song this year and probably for the next few (Christmas songs have been decisively crappy in recent years imo).
And as a Scot I must also say look up “irn bru walking in the air” advert haha. That makes my Christmas! 🏴🏴

You need to listen to Break Me by McFly, if you haven't yet. That's one of their best songs and similar to their cover of Walking in the Air, sadly never released/recorded properly :(
