If I had a time machine I would go see Felipe Ybarra and offer to partner up with him. He became one of the largest producers of olive oil in the world. I actually buy his oil in the US.
@@loplopthebird1860 What would you know about living under Franco? My grandparents lived peacefully and relatively prosperous lives in Valencia during the 1950's. This is why I said I would go back because I miss them. If you were a Communist or seperatist then many ended up dead or missing. Otherwise you'd be left alone and you'd be free to do whatever you want. It's quite ignorant for you to mention such a sensitive subject without even having a clue about this "dictatorship". This evil Franco was so anti-communist that he was such a good ally of the United States who even descided to open military bases in Spain's. Go enjoy living under your Idiot president Trump, "dude"!
@@miikapekk5155 Valencia was bombed by Franco over 400 times. But because your Grandparents were ok (Fascists by any chance?) all the corpses are irrelevant and he was great. Fuck you.
@@miikapekk5155 Franco was before my time and I’m not Spanish so I’ll never know what life was like under him but I’ve spoken to many Spanish people and none of them had nice things to say about Franco and his government. The Franco era was not a good time in Spanish history. many people had friends and family tortured and missing. Many who suffered were innocent too. I think Spain’s democratic government of today is way better! However, I get what you mean that there were people who were totally apolitical and still had happy lives and of course if you were a tourist you wouldn’t have to worry about the government and you’d have had a great trip Valencia or anywhere in Spain. Spain is a beautiful country.
@@VelvetMetrolink The time I viewed this video was a few months after my dad died, we buried him in his village next to the tombs of his relatives and family, his uncle fought against Franco and lived several years in France and returned in the 1960s to live under Franco. You're right! I knew I recognized the name. I have Ybarra olive oil in my cupboard right now 😄
A very good documentary and a credit to the narrator and to the producer, and full of honest respect for its subject.
The Olive Farm is Castilleja de Guzmán near Sevilla
This video is a treasure !! For me it is incredible that I have seen these images thanks to a British fan. Thank you!!!
I'm proud to have e Spanish heritage

Maravilloso! Se ha cambiado mucho, pero Sevilla y el paisaje de la Meseta...todavía tan preciosa!
Qué interesante!!! gracias por colgarlo
If I had a time machine the first place I would go is Valencia Spain in the 1950's to see my grandparents. I wouldn't even think twice !
