Variable Frame Rate Video (VFR) & Vegas Pro / VFR, it hurts us Precious!

- This is constantly coming up in various Vegas Pro forums.
My audio gets out of sync over time or doesn't play correctly at all and 9/10 times it's because the file was encoded with a variable frame rate.
Vegas Pro HATES VFR video.
Here's how to fix that.

www.vegascreativesoftware.inf...
ffmpeg -i my_video_source.mov -r 30000/1001 -c:v libx264 -c:a copy -crf 0 my_output_file.mp4
And apologies for the sound quality, this was put together more quickly than I normally do. - Развлечения
this was the only explanation I managed to find online
Vegas keeps telling me a 30fps VFR video was 100fps and it was hell until I found this video, thank you so much!
It's a shame that this only has 240 views, deserves a whole lot more considering how many times I myself and many others struggled with this problem
Thanks. Please share with your Vegas friends
Dude, you are AWESOME at explaining things! Thank you!!!!
Omg thank you for explaining this!! No one knows what the heck I've been talking about. It always changes my footage to 100 fps
is there no way to "batch" do this? or a fastest way to do this? I have a finished project that I need to submit in 20 minutes and it keeps rendering with the audio out of sync.
You can use shutter encoder to convert a bunch of videos at one time.
I assume this applies to all versions of Vegas Pro? I'm currently on 15 and was planning to upgrade? Also technically disabling SO4 Compound Reader seems to fix it but at the cost of compatibility problems with some videos.
Nice advice!!
Thanks!
