From Russia with love is very good too. One of my favorites.and when i first played this game back in the day. I was shocked to hear THE REAL james bond's voice. Sean Connery, though pretty old, nailed voicing james bond, even in his 70s. Props to him. And thanks to him, this game is where it should be, in our hearts..
Been playing Bloodstone this past week. It does indeed still hold up well. All the sneaking, hacking and driving are what makes you feel like bond but the shooting is kinda meh. It still gets a 7/10 from me.
Nightfire was the GOAT. The multi-player was almost perfect and the campaign's story was gold. I think it could still hold up today in a way Goldeneye can't
Nightfire will always be number 1 for me. The game was insane as a kid. I played the campaign so many times and my neighborhood friends and I played multiplayer for hours.
I agree with you there. EA was the best when it came to Bond licensed games. Activision got a hold of it and made it a cheap Call of Duty with Bond Skin.
Why can’t they do remakes of those games. I would also love to see more classic Bond movies made into games. And some new stories set back in the day. More Connery would be amazing.
Oh come on, everything or nothing is so much better than goldeneye, I get that goldeneye is iconic, but everything or nothing, for me at least, blows it out of the water
I was getting nervous as the list approached the end, worried they were about to skip Everything or Nothing, but I’m glad it took the Number 2 spot and would personally make it my number 1 This was the bond game I played when I was younger, and it’s still glorious. An original story that feels like it should’ve belonged on the big screen, the voice acting from all the main players making it feel like a real 007 story. And we got to live out our super spy fantasies with glorious action scenes, from shooting to fighting to driving to racing to diving off a cliff or building, and those gadgets and their applications nothing was waisted. And that original theme song is still one of my favorite bond themes ever. If they wanted to bring 007 back to the video game landscape, remastering this masterpiece would be a step in the right direction.
I love those little spider camera bombs. Those are the best you got through a little air vent into the next room and boom you blow up the guards and go back to James Bond. Just walking into the room with no one to stop him. Also that motorcycle chase on the bridge when you’re, chasing down the tanker truck is just a masterpiece of a mission
Goldeneye brings back great memories of 4 player death matches. I remember the game came out a few weeks before a school dance and I guess hardly any guys were their
I've only played two 007 games: A Megadrive game that had this giant orange ship level that was really hard to beat. The other was a PS2 game that had multiplayer. I distinctly remember a ski-lift resort map. 5:37 and 8:00 or 13:05 respectively.
What’s sad is now Triple Jump will probably never make their own list, and THEY would have counted the handheld versions of World is Not Enough and Everything or Nothing...
The 3 released on the GameCube and PS2 were genuinely top quality. Lost hours to Agent Under Fire and Nightfire but forgot how awesome Everything or Nothing was too
I always tell people you can’t beat that motorcycle chase on the bridge. That’s one of the best video game missions of all time. Chasing the tanker truck on the motorcycle over the bridge. That mission is both bonkers and bad ass all at the same time.
Bro, it’s on PS2. What are you talking about putting it on PS1 my guide that’s going backwards although I would love a remaster because everything or nothing is a fantastic game. I’ve spent hours of my life playing that game. It’s amazing and that motorcycle chase on the bridge, the tanker truck is just iconic
The fact that this video just released is hilarious as I literally just bought 007: Agent Under Fire, 007: Nightfire, 007: From Russia With Love, 007: Everything Or Nothing, 007: Quantum Of Solace, 007: Legends, 007: Goldeneye remake and 007: Blood Stone like 3 days ago lol
Agent Under Fire's claw shot was a mechanic that should be in every game. You used to be able to zip around in multiplayer like spiderman with a bazooka 😂
"Ben. Ben Roy. Agent 00101 of WhatCulture Gaming's Secret Service." One game that I remember that I don't remember if it was a licensed 007 game or not, but it was a game from the ColecoVision/Atari 2600 & 5200/Intellivision/Commodore 64 era. It was like the typical 2D top view racing game, but with oil slicks, smoke screens, mines and machineguns built into your agent car. 8-bit James Bond theme playing in the back ground. It was a fun game to play.
Goldeneye is a peice of history no question but it simply does not hold up. The fact that it keeps topping lists like this is daft. I have yoghurt in my fridge that has aged better than Goldeneye and it's the same age
Hell, yeah brother nothing beats that first mission when you have to ride the motorcycle through the desert and catch the train. Also, I got to say best mission ever is the motorcycle chase over the bridge with all the explosions and the bad guy is coming at you chasing the tanker truck. Oh, it’s just a phenomenal game.
Quantum of solace was a pretty solid game tbf, the campaign was pretty fun and had some cool moments, but the FREAKING MULTIPLAYER was top tier, the maps were sick, the guns were really fun to use, the modes were pretty unique and interesting, it even had it's own unique version of golden gun, have a lot of nostalgia for that game.
Everything or Nothing was an epic thrill ride but Goldeneye was far more layered. Each of its missions were a different experience depending on the difficulty you were playing, you could unlock secret missions and all sorts of mods (paintball mode, DK mode etc) . Multiplayer was truly iconic, I loved comparing the awards at the end of rounds.
3:20 "Interplay made no effort to make this look like a James Bond game at all" said while showing images CLEARLY based on scenes from James Bond films!
If we judge bond games by how they were at the time then I'd say Goldeneye is easily number 1 but it we base it on how well they hold up, I'd say nightfire, eon and frwl are best
Open world 007 game, biggest game ever... You play through all the films unlocking inventory and drops. Basically you start in london you get the OG gun and any you pick up throughout the mission. You unlock the car and any gadgets etc. Once that mission is complete you ultimately unlock that area you can fly to via airports. So Dr No you unlock the start of the carribean. Then between missions, you can request Q drops and complete the mission in different ways using different gadgets, in the same way that lego games are replayable due to the requirement of unlocking certain characters to get the peak amount of blocks. Damn that would be cool. For side missions, you could have like takedown in London or random targets pop up in different areas of the world you have to execute your own manouvers idk something fresh.
I’ve actually been playing the Bond games since the start of Lockdown 3. Agent Under Fire is my personal favourite of the non film licensed games. I would tell any Bond fan to 100% give the PS2 version of Quantum of Solace. I think Eurocom did a better job then Treyarch, but Activision start rushing the games out, quality really fell fast. I look forward to Project 007.
Nightfire, agent under fire, and goldeneye had the multi-player. I remember my brother and cousins putting everyone at 200 speed and using jetpacks on agent under fire.
I can fully agree with the no2 and no1 spots. Goldeneye did set the tone but everything or nothing was the best. Still have it on my GameCube to this day
So an honourable mention since it's not technically a James Bond game but ya so shoulda mentioned, is Far Cry 4 Arcade mode search GE64 and someone has faithfully and accurately depicted the original GoldenEye to a T I legit purchased Far Cry 5 solely to play this after the guy who made it released a trailer on RUclips. Definitely check it out if you wanna see a HD remake XD
With respect to Goldeneye... Nightfire, Everything Or Nothing, From Russia With Love, Bloodstone, and that Game Boy 007 are all really great games in general
If you're gonna do lists, giving them a concrete hierarchy instead of "well, it's 10 things that are good in no relevant order" works better IMO. More of this please.
Riding the motorcycle over the bridge chasing down the tanker truck. Best mission in the entire game. It’s got over the top action which is completely bonkers and giant explosions, and the exhaust pipes of your motorcycle can be used as flamethrowers to attack enemies on the left and right of your motorcycle, it’s just one of the best missions in the entire game probably the number one mission in the entire game that everyone remembers the most and also the spider robot going through the vents and destroying people on the other side is just a lot of fun.
I remembered playing the From Russia with Love demo, in Need For Speed Most wanted, on the PS2. It was a lot of fun. It's a shame I never got around to buying it and playing it.
I know I going to have a hard time finding these games but I recently saw my first James Bond movie. My dad made mention of an old 007 game that was SUPER hard to beat. I've been scouring the internet to find this supposed game but I always came up empty. I was hoping one of you lovely lot would be able to tell me what was the HARDEST 007 game to have every been made.
Dude, that’s gonna be subjective based on the player. We’re gonna need some information about the game before we can make a definitive decision on what game we think it probably is.
GoldenEye winning is kinda like how Connery wins best Bond by default. Everything or Nothing most certainly is the best overall game, but you just can't not have GoldenEye be on that top spot. Fun video!
Everything or nothing is just the best game. I love the intro when you’re scaling the side of the building and I love all the driving levels, especially the first one where you have to choose between the Porsche SUV or the motorcycle and you’re chasing the train through the canyonand also there’s nothing better than the tanker truck motorcycle bridge Chase. That is just chefs kiss that is just the highlight of the game right there.
Everything or nothing deserves top spot. Also, Tomorrow Never Dies, From Russia With Love and Agent Under Fire are some of the best Bond games out there.
This video was too long. Halfway through it, I got hungry so I left it playing and went to the kitchen to fix my self a sandwich. But then I found out that I'm out of mayonnaise so I went to a store. There, I saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my whole life. But I'm really a shy person so I took up a three-year personality development course so I can introduce myself. She was very friendly and all, but unfortunately, she had a boyfriend. So I said, all good, I'm a mature person. I want the best for her and I harbor no illusion that I am the best person for her and she seems happy with her boyfriend, so I did not bother her anymore. But we kept in touch and we became friends and I got over my crush on her. Then she broke up with her boyfriend, we drank some alcohol because of it, I told her she'll be fine and I wished her well. I still think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but like I said, I am over my crush on her. It was like five years already when I first saw her. Besides, I am quiet happy with the friendship I developed with her. It was more important than a crush. So we kept hanging out, drinking, having coffee, and all. I had a girlfriend, she started dating other guys. My girlfriend wants to live some other life without me in it, so I said, "Okay, I want the best for you and I want you to pursue your happiness." My lady friend and I drank alcohol about it, and she gave me the same advice I gave her when she was in that position and I became okay with the breakup immediately. But we were really drunk, so she spent the night in my apartment. I only have one bed, so you know what that means: She took the bed and I slept on the couch. But on the couch, I really can't sleep. Something was bothering me. So I tossed and turned for about three hours, then I finally can't take it anymore, I stood up and went straight to my room where she's sleeping. I approached the bed, gently sat on it and I reached for her shoulder to pull her closer to me. She stirred and woke up. She asked what's up. I told her, "you know, the first time I saw you, I was watching a video and left it playing to get myself a sandwich then went to the store to get some mayo then I got so distracted by life that I forgot to finish the video." She said, "You know what, I've been wondering about a weird noise in your night drawer." So we opened that drawer, and lo and behold, there's my phone and this video still has two minutes of play time on it.
After they release the remaster of goldeneye for the Xbox they have to remaster Everything or nothing and Nightfire(with brosnans voice) they would stilll play amazing today
Here to agree with other commenters. Though Goldeneye had incredible legacy and influence, Everything or Nothing was (in my opinion) a superior game. Best Bond game to date.
How dare you?! You didn't even talk about The World Is Not Enough's multiplayer! I guess I'll do it myself: "Unlike Tomorrow Never Dies a couple of years prior, this installment brought back multiplayer, but unlike GoldenEye you didn't need your friends to play multiplayer as the game came with an AI system that lets you practice the game at different maps with different weapons & strategies. The multiplayer also had custom game mechanics so you could make teams, play capture the flag, king of the hill, and more. It's very much an only child's GoldenEye when you think about it. Just a tad."
Everything or Nothing and Nightfire are some of my favorite games to this day. Honestly such very high quality games imo
Nightfire is still one of my favorite couch multiplayer games. Damn near perfect, and holds up in a way goldeneye unfortunately doesn't

Everything or Nothing absolutely earned its spot. I'd pay any price for a modern sequel.
Bloodstone was an excellent game especially with the focus takedowns

Brilliant game and the best representation of Daniel Craig's Bond in a video game. But the story and the main villain are horrible

The most badass james bond game. And the best looking one

Everything or Nothing was an unreal game. Tomorrow Never Dies is under rated.
Very underrated
Nightfire will always be number 1 for me. The game was insane as a kid. I played the campaign so many times and my neighborhood friends and I played multiplayer for hours.

Best Bond game to date.
is it me or is the audio a little weird. like its more flat or has like a tin kinda effect ?
How dare you?! You didn't even talk about The World Is Not Enough's multiplayer! I guess I'll do it myself:
"Unlike Tomorrow Never Dies a couple of years prior, this installment brought back multiplayer, but unlike GoldenEye you didn't need your friends to play multiplayer as the game came with an AI system that lets you practice the game at different maps with different weapons & strategies. The multiplayer also had custom game mechanics so you could make teams, play capture the flag, king of the hill, and more. It's very much an only child's GoldenEye when you think about it. Just a tad."
Goldeneye, Quantum of Solace and Blood Stone were amazing 🐐🐐
IO has the most solid game franchise ever in Hitman. A Bond game surely couldn’t be in better hands 🙌
Where's The World is Not Enough? There is the N64 and PS1 version, both completely different games
