Depends on threat analysis from both enemies and depends on what India wants to become? A blue water navy? Or much more than that?
These truck mounted 155 guns along with track mounted artillery self propelled guns would give enormous strike power to our strike formation and more so if these systems are equipped with precision guided rounds and networked with surveillance/strike drones.

I haven't seen China with towed howitzers in their propaganda videos , it's always SPGs and look what has happened to Russian towed howitzers ...they all r sitting ducks. In this modern era speed nd high mobility matters.

Well it's not like it's impossible to develop it completely indigenously however it would delay these projects by 5-10 years and that's not something we can afford to do, so we gotta be smart on how we develop it. Think of this as a student learning about modern maths from a teacher (student being india and teacher being Israel) then india can proceed to learn to do more advanced versions on their own.
Indian army will continue trials. MOD will continue postponding of induction. We common people will watch only Tarikh ke bad Tarikh.

Brother, people from USA say that T-90 tanks are just a cosmetic change in T- 72 b u . And it is a piece of trash. Kindly, make a video on T-90 tanks being used by Indian Army.
T90s might not be as bad as some Western sources say, but they're certainly not as good as the Russians claim either. It doesn't have blowout panels, has a Carousel autoloader, which means if the main compartment is hit, the crew is instantly vapourised and the turret goes 2 floors high. Contrary to tanks like the Abrams where ammo is stored in a seperate compartment and features blowout panels so the energy is blown out through the panels as the name suggests.
We can only do damage control now that we've already bought them. We need to install APS on each and every one of our tanks, and phase out our T72s, and later T90s.

What does our artillery doctrine looks like ?
For example,look at Russians they rely very much on artillery,it's like there army is structured around the artillery.
Alpha should consider doing a video on artillery doctrine or maybe tactics of Indian army.
The way Russia is effectively using its artillery in this war is also a good case study.

Why does India import weapons, import ammunition. Can't these be made by yourself? I saw a message that China, South Korea, and Israel can make it. Why can't India make it? Is it cheaper to import? What if you run out of ammunition in a war?

India in a bit back in indigenised weapons and we have to make sure no two or more companies work on similar weapons which results in loss of time and resources .mod or the concerned agencies should work with these companies to bring our different platforms to .ake our country Atmanirbhar .

The 800 Mounted Howitzers can be divided into 2 categories of Light Mounted Howitzers like Garuda 105 and Heavy Mounted Howitzers like Dhanush, ATAGS and Bharat 52 by Kalyani.
Light Mounted Howitzers would be more handy when it comes to terrains like Arunachal and Sikkim since they're based on 4 Wheeled vehicles which can easily travel through narrow roads right uptill the border compared to 8 Wheeled vehicles used for mounting heavy howitzers which will find it difficult.
Infact if total requirement is of 800, it can be divided into 200 Light Mounted Howitzers (10 Regiments) and 600 Heavy Mounted Howitzers (30 Regiments). Each Regiment usually has 18+2 Guns.
All Strike Corps. should be equipped with atleast 1 Regiment of Heavy Mounted Howitzers and all Mountain Strike Corps. (17 MSC, Panagarh) as well as Leh based 14 and Tezpur based 4 Corps. both of which ideally should be converted to Mountain Strike Corps. should get 1 Regiment of Garuda 105 Light Mounted Howitzers each apart from 1 Regiments of Heavy Mounted Howitzers.
Other Corps. responsible against China like Dimapur based 3 Corps., Silliguri based 33 Corps., Dharamshala based 9 Corps. as well as 15 Chinar Corps. based in Srinagar should also be equipped with Light Mounted Howitzers. This will significantly increase firepower of all these Corps., specially with respect to Mountain Warfare.

DRDO is well advised to stick some foreign company's name to this else there is no chance Indian Army will buy it.
Army should acquire 400 TC-20 Mounted Howitzers for High Altitudes and 400 Mounted ATAGS for LOC.

@@Sacrafago90 Bro Bharat 52 is -as the name suggests 52 caliber gun. It's an alternative for ATAGS. MArG is Mountain Artillery Gun. It's mounted on a 4×4 and is of lesser caliber (39). It was infact 'unveiled' by MoD Rajnath Singh only last year in December.

It's sad that now the Indian Armed Forces are being projected as being less honest than the civilians (politicians, DRDO, IAS, other bureaucrats etc.) despite the fact that everybody knows who comes to the rescue of the nation when any department fails at their job. The Armed Forces are the only organization left in India that are still largely honest.
