- Jonny Hawkins of Nothing More sits down with Matt Soper of HTZ 97.7 and iHeartRadio to talk about touring to support ‘Spirits’!
The two talk about the loss of Johnny’s mom and the song ‘the other F word’ and the lessons she taught him.
Jonny Hawkins of Nothing More talks about music as therapy for artists, and for their fans. Jonny talks about the primal release of ‘scream therapy’ and learning to balance graciousness and ambition.
Jonny and Matt talk about emotions, and being mental health advocates, and how the song ‘Jenny’ caused a serious release of emotions for him and his family.
Jonny Hawkins talks about the different phases rock music has gone through from hair metal to grunge to current day heavy rock, and where they find themselves in all this!
Of Course, Matt and Jonny talk about the scorpion and the bassinator how it came to be and how he works it, and how maybe the scorpion wasn’t always cooperative!
Finally they line up their BEST ever festival lineup with their favourite rock bands alive or dead!
Love this chat.
This man and Nothing More are really getting me through a tough time in my early 30's, thank you for this!
They are so freaking good.
I'm in the same boat, his/their music is so powerful and meaningful. God bless
This band sounded great live and put on a great show. Very entertaining!
Saw them last Week in Munich, pure Magic 😊
I am so happy Jim Morrison is doing well.
That's your take away from this??
Way to be a great human being. Jim was sexy and Jonny is modern sexiness at its finest.
Shows & music never disappoint!!
@@RONNIBABY1 it was a compliment. Spirits has not left my cd player since I bought it.
🤣🤣hilarious...
Awesome band. Will be seeing them for my first time on April 21st in Edmonton! Got the VIP experience.
I REALLY appreciate this interview. Great conversation. Hawkins an American hero
Love all of them but Spirits is the favorite. Spirits is still relevant and I love that.
Johnny and your guys...your music has ushered me through some life changing stages in my life... strong away from organized religion and into more organic spirituality. Your concert in salt lake in 2023 was extremely moving and therapeutic for me, thank you for that! On that note, please please please add a Utah date to your tour! 😢🙏🙏🙏🙏
This interview was everything I needed
❤
As I've said before I could listen to him speak for eternity.🤘💯
