Wonderful to see you back Homer....by far the best flight reviewer out there. Sorry Dennis, but you come second, a very close second though.
As well as your straight forward and honest reviews, i think it is your voice that raises you above everyone else, such a joy to listen to.
I am glad you say there will be more to come. I just hope the two year gap was not due to any unfortunate circumstances
OMG..what a nice and encouraging comment my friend..big big thank you for this. Somebody else reminded me that i should do more live comments..and i promise i will in the future. Dennis is great of course:))) The 2 year gap was just due to lazyness..and a new generation of trip reporters..so i preferred to watch their reviews rather than doing my own. But i realize that i owe some more work to good friends like you:) Kind regards!!!

Lovely! The crystal-like goblets upon boarding are a such a fine touch. Whew, glad the signature cocktail passed muster even though the wine was sub-par. Fair reviews all around.

So glad you got to fly the KLM 747. Its been a long time I have been in one. Last time I flew on it was in 2006 from AMS to Chicago (ORD). Its a wonderful aircraft and definitely be missed.
The Business class lounge looks great. I definitely understand the meal service. When I flew on them on Econ for the AMS to DEL and AMS to ORD, the meals weren't appetizing. Ended up eating McDonalds at the terminal before the return flight to the States.

what a nice flight report! I truly enjoyed it! have never travelled onboard KLM, let alone the business class, so it was really interesting to see. I have heard good things about KLM economy but prior to Covid...i wonder if the service deteriorated because of that. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I fly KLM World Business Class about three times a year. You were spot on in your review. Food and wine not great, service has been consistently good, Amsterdam Schiphol very good for transfers but the Crown Lounge can get very crowded. I fly the 787 which has the modern 1-2-1 seating which is better than the older aircraft, but I don't mind the 2-2-2 on the 777 if traveling with my wife. Love the little Dutch touches, and the little houses handed out to business class passengers makes KLM unique.
Thank you. Friendsjust arrived in San Jose from AMS. They wrote me poorest business class food ever. Still, KLM often has good prices..I think their major selling point..and the nice crews also help somehow. But I continue avoiding them, if i dont have to.

Thank you very much. To be honest: flight and crew was great..but food and wines were poor, as usual on KLM. They are a stingy airline and dont spend money on food and beverage and i only fly them if they have outstanding prices..or this wonderful Grand Lady

back in 2019 I was supposed to fly from San Francisco to Amsterdam on that plane, but a computer or something on the plane was broken so the flight was cancelled :( But we got a free hotel with money for food, we got our money back and we got free tickets to an other plane :)

Hi Tony, big thank you for your nice post. I am trying my best to stay healthy, although covid infected people ae everywhere, as my app indicates. I reduced shopping etc and wear ffp2 masks only..that should help. Are you wearing ffp2 as well? Now as winter comes i will have more time to work in my video material from pre covid. Next will be Kenya Airways. Very best regards and stay healthy as well!
@@homer3152 Homer!!! So good to hear from you))) I'm glad you are defying enemy no.1, as am I. Yes, very unfortunately, so many people are infected. I'm fortunate though, I run my business from home so I am not missing anything, and I am avoiding contact with possibly infected people. My heart goes out to those who are infected, and also to their loved ones.. I must admit that I'm not sure what an ffp2 mask is. I'm currently wearing just a surgical blue mask. My partner calls it my muzzle!! Lovely girl!!))) It's really good to know that you have material lined up, and I look forward to seeing it. Kenya Airways should be interesting. So does Qatar Airways:) F&B is just a problem on KLM
I dont like KLM BUSINESS CLASS because its not worth money KLM one of those airlines you should go economy the meal presentation its so poor drinks are poor and service is poor too also their seat configuration still is 2-2-2 they are so behind compare to AIRFRANCE which has 1-2-1 on most airplanes and has much better food and drink also Delta dont you think I think the tray they give you meal its really premium economy instead of business class maybe you liked fork and spoon but not worth it to pay extra for that what do you think?

comparing any airliner to a an illegal government funded gulf-carrier isn't really fair... but hey they have oil...so no one will sue them for that.
operational costs are so much lower for them, that they can offer more in F&B etc.
Maybe you are partly right..but even LH and in particular Swiss spend more on F&B in my experience..i had sensational wines on Swiss like this legendary Tignanello..its just that KLM does not really want to invest into F&B in my opinion. And as far as operational costs: isnt it our own governments in Europe with all those taxes who increase them..and in the current anti aviation discussion they seem set to even furthr increase operational costs of airlines. BTW: Ajax was sensational last season:)
@@homer3152 Maybe the Dutch in general don't like things that are overly luxurious? All they want is a safe reliable carrier to take them from A to B.
