- Today we explore the Abandoned North Wilkesboro Speedway. North Wilkesboro Speedway located in North Carolina last saw on track action in 2010. Although the property is heavily marked for trespassers that wont stop the HKP. Come along as we investigate this Gone but not forgotten race track using our DJI Mavic air 2 Drone. Enjoy

It won't be abandoned for much longer - With all the news and stuff coming out about it getting cleaned up and possibly re opened

@@RandomlyRandy58 Saw a video of the track last summer and they have already done a LOT of work from the looks of your video. There were trees growing up through the stands before.

It is officially reopened as of this past August.
I would love to make it down to see a race!

If would be awesome for another drone flight over North Wilkesboro Speedway. They torn down the tower in turn 4 that was collapsing and they torn down part of the garage that was collapsing also

When you landed the drone in your hand, the top of it looked like the top of my drone.. I could tell you had a Holy Stone.. but was wondering if it was the model HS720E

I live on the Brushy Mountain and it’s about 10-15 minutes from the speedway cause i can see it from my house and the rumors are all over the place. I’ve heard it’s gonna be dirt which is what my hopes are because i’m a big late model guy but whatever it becomes i do not see the Cup Series coming back it’s just not enough money to be made from the race since the owner owns better and bigger tracks

And Saying NASCAR won't come back is ridiculous - This is there roots all forms of racing should race here
I prefer pavement myself as that’s how I grew up but of it were to reopen I honestly don’t care what the surface is. Would just be cool to see some cars going at it again!
@@JJA1987 I too would love to see the cup series back here but again like i said it would not make good money and the schedule is already full. What track are they gonna replace it with? Martinsville? Nope it’s a family owned track and i don’t ever see bristol getting gone. I hope they add more dates just to fit us in cause wilkes county is lame lmao
There were 3 things that made me quit anything to do with Nascar, (1)
was when they left North Wilkesboro Speedway. (2) was when Earnhardt
died at Daytona. (3) was when Nascar decided to go WOKE about the
Confederate flag. Each one of those drove me away and I haven't watched a
race since and personally I don't care if they ever come back to NWS,
I'm done with Nascar forever now. Btw I quit watching MLB in '93 after
the rich players decided to strike for more money and didn't play a
world series that year, and the NFL and NBA is just a bunch of rich WOKE
cry babies so I don't and never will watch those again either. I've
found that watching local races and sports is much better and deserve my
money to support them. Look fans, we have the power to control these
rich people when they do stupid things, but if we let them get by with
it, we will always be at their mercy.
There are several reasons why NASCAR dropped off my radar I’ll occasionally watch a race but they are far and few between. Thanks for watching the video!!!
