Thank you mate for the time and energy you put in so we learn.
Thanks SO much. I want that Sievert torch. I use propane with a simple hose and tip but I like yours because you can get a smaller heat cone. Awesome.
very helpful video in both choosing a torch and instructional. thank you
Thank you! I've just realised, this torch is essentially a Bunsen burner!
As always a good video. Thanks for the good info.
Very nice torch with lots of options for different burners and Necks.
Thank you Mr. Berry !
Very informative, thank you 😊
Great videos.
Thanks so much.
Hi came from East Africa kenya nice job keep up
hi andrew, i like your videos. but i would like to know what the different of Smith little torch and this one. which one is better? little torch is butane gas and oxygen but this one is only butane. please explain me.
hello andrew, could you show us something about reticulation of gold and silver? or more about texturising using heating up in general?
Will it give sufficient heat for copper/brass cuffs and soldering those metals ? Thanks much Andrew.
what place in the USA can I get the Sievert Torch?
Good point about safety goggles & about the propane only tank? Sievert uses propane only, correct? & smiths little torch uses both propane & oxygen tanks, correct? Thanks
You're all welcome.
Hi Andrew,
This torch would be what i need for my jewelry but thing is I am in Canada and wonder where I can find one of those, over here. Seams they are mostly in the UK.
This torch looks so much like my Prest-O-Lite Acetylene torch. Is it similar at all? I am so new to this torch and am going to take your advice to practice as you have advised. Thank you!
haven't been able to find really big tip for prestolite. this sound interesting.
Esta Jo Schifter I know they make one that has multiple holes in it for melting metal.
Dharlee Minter Will look again. Thanks
What do you do about a flashback? does a propane torch need one? I have the seivert torch and a EU regulator because I live in France, but i dont see a flashback on the torch or the regulator. I'm terrified I'm going to explode my workshop!
Get yourself a one-way check valve
Good question. I am going to order one and apparently the flashback is incorporated in the set it you buy the set. Have you started to use it? I live in Switzerland and my main problem is explosion... I am terrified too!
Hi, could you tell me if I could use the standard burner 3940 17mm for melting silver in a 2"crucible.
That is what I am trying to find out.
How come you don't use a propane/oxygen torch?
Is this torch still a good torch? I noticed the video is 13 years old.
Yes the sievert torch is still in production. We sell it in our store www.atthebench.store
If only it was £54 now.. it's gone up to £90 for the basic set.
Take a look here gasproducts.co.uk/gas-blow-torches/sievert-gas-blow-torch-kits/sievert-pro-86-jewellers-gas-blow-torch-kit.html cheaper than any jewellery tools supplier
There was no mention of eye protection at any time during the video. Some people do need reminding of this fact.
