I'm not a bus fanatic at all . However I was on the m1 yesterday and a a kernow & Cornwall DD ( sv57)being pulled by a wrecker passed me , I'm a truck driver so I had a good view of the bus as it passed by .definitely looked liked it was going to its final resting place somewhere... it reminded me of my early working life as a yts bus mechanic ,working for a local family firm ,called stuarts bus and coach in Manchester ( 198788) . Being a small firm ,we was often in bus graveyards looking for parts etc etc ..Happy days they were
I remember going here back in the early 90'S , to remove some old layland titan seats they were for a refurbish contract on the London fleet we refloored the lower deck, repaired and painted the seats and also replaced the interior truss panel above the center door it was the first job I did when I started working at Volvo bus and coach Loughborough . Seems so long ago!
one of my dads customers in barnsley had one of these yards. i remember some isle of man buses being scrapped there. some h years later i now live in the iom.
💔 especially seeing all those cute and beasty Dart Pointers, several Trident/Volvo B7TL ALX400s and a MANviro nevertheless, the reality is that it's only going to get worse the more LEZ/CAZs that are created.
Nice one mate, its a shame that the hybrids are in scrap, they could've been diesel converts that could've served for northampton uni services and move to kettering later on but unfortunately its too late to convert them.
A few weeks ago I was surprised to see Stagecoach Manchester 12015 being towed east down Hyde Road in Manchester one afternoon minus some windows, obviously on its final journey to Yorkshire. It had never occurred to me that they had reached that point in their lives.
Most hybrid e400s are being scrapped since their getting old by hybrid standards and simply aren’t worth the money, since their batteries are pretty worn out, most of them will probably go by mid 2025 or early 2026
its so unfair that the scania N23OUD's and Enviro40D's are going when the enviro 400 tridents are still kicking. Yes, i do like the enviro 400 tridents, but the Enviro 40D's and Scanias are newer than the tridents.
I was the enthusiast you saw up there - was nice to meet you!
Ayup! Same to the both of you. Hope you found what you needed..
Nice
i've seen a few newer type buses - did they get involved in any traffic collisions? 😀
Could you just take one of these buses if you ask them?

That Manchester ALX 400 at the start needs to be saved from scrap
18350 hasn’t operated in Manchester since about 2007.
00:13 MX55 KOU was in Fife not long ago
Those tridents are still out on the roads. 18081 and 18118 are still very much in service in Basingstoke and are a joy to drive
How can you visit/walk around this place?
He probably got permission from the yard's owner

As a Stagecoach East Midlands driver this hurts 😢 especially seeing the training dart which I passed in 😪
Nice tour round the yard. Sad to see a lot of alx400s that have been destroyed & the Stagecoach Oxfordshire e400h.

Do anyone know where can I get cheap double decker to convert to cafe?
The e400 hibrid bus cashed in 2016 this is why it’s scrapped
Nice video showing the scrapyard and again seems to be mostly stagecoach veichles.
Isn't the ex Arriva Volvo with Scooby and Shaggy on the back a Citybus rather than an Olympian?
When I went to the back of it I realised it was haha. Yeah mate it is a citybus.
Hi there, hope you well matey. Can you/anyone just go in and get to film the busses for scrap?
Interesting to see a couple of ex Lincs RoadCar vehicles in there.
19098 as acually converted to
Euro 6 and spent many of it’s remaining days taking people from Bognor Regis to Portsmouth
Did this one get converted? I knew some were done.
@@robinsbusvideos knew this one did as its was on my local route
Good idea your own new motor home easy to convert ?
i went to school in southend on a 1977 Leyland titan are there any left do you think
Also, where is this yard??

Is the Arriva Solo, 689?
667
Eek, 22840 is still in service (Company I work for and have driven) 22841 Will probably have also been Ex-Stagecoach East Mids.
Stagecoach Midlands not East Midlands, last worked at Kettering.
nice video, i always like visiting the barnsley yards
Why was 12004 scrapped?

Carlton, Barnsley
Sad to see all the best buses here 😭
rip AOU in the first shot - Was an ace solo at penzance tbh, Also EBJ, Went on that many times as a kid :(
Sad to see 19098 in the scrap yard :(
It’s donated the front roof pillars to repair a damaged bus in our depot.
I am suprised the hybrid 400 was in the scrappers

19098 😢
such a sad seeing these buses being scrapped don't know why an hybrid was scrapped such a waste
4.5k views nice
A lot of cheap stagecoach. I do love an old volvo bus.
'kin 'ell what all the orange tubes, looks like a plumbers nighmare.
I don't know why they couldn't just auction these things off to the public. They're too good to scrap.
The trouble is that operators haven't got the time to do that and if they're worthless then the only place is the scrapyard in the sky
Plus a lot of the national operators are reluctant to sell vehicles that might end up with a rival...
@@tornadojones7429 That was First Bus's policy at the time
Totally agree….with a clause only for restoration….not to be bought back in service
Guessing they come to the end of there life
