If you can, have the possibility, adopt two ( or more 😃) small kittens. Have a place ready for them to play, scratch posts, cat tree, toys, whatever you can. Watching them play and interact, also with you, will be very helpful with getting out of depression. Small kittens playing are ridiculously funny, sweet, very lovable. You'll have little friends, loyal. They'll always be there for you. Even watching them sleep brings pleasure. Plus taking care of them , feeding, cleaning around them will force you to get up and do something. Something much needed, productive, effective.
