I did some research on this to post this comment. I found an article by “The Ringer” that talked about 2Pac’s relationship with Suge Knight and Death Row Records. Suge had his eyes on Pac for years. The relationship began when 2Pac was paid $200K for a single song on the “Above the Rim” soundtrack. 2Pac was behind bars when his “Me Against The World” album was #1 but he went broke keeping up with legal fees and other expenses. 2Pac was signed to Interscope Records at the time but they distanced themselves from 2Pac due to the controversy. Interscope allows their subsidiary Death Row Records to sign 2Pac upon some serious paper shuffling. Suge promised 2Pac he would alleviate 2Pac’s legal and financial woes and even buy his mother Afeni Shakur a house. To further add to the deal and prove his loyalty, Suge Knight absorbed 2Pac’s beef with Puffy and Bad Boy Records. 2Pac signed a record deal, a $1 Million cash advance and cash for other experts for a 3 album for $3.5 Million dollars. I found a quote from Nate Dogg from the 2004 XXL magazine saying that 2Pac didn’t want to be on Death Row Records and the sooner 2Pac could push out 3 albums he would be free from his recording contract. It’s been talked about my many artists such as Snoop Dogg who worked closely with 2Pac that Pac had an unmatched work ethic in the studio. I believe this was partially fueled by releasing himself of that 3-album contract. 2Pac was loyal to Death Row to the degree of they got him out from behind bars. That's not what Tupacs aunt says even his bodyguard Frank Alexander was was given a termination letter. Frank said when he quested Tupac on it, he told him not to worry he was taking Frank with with him.
U know there are STILL idiots out there who believe that Suge, who positioned himself as executive producer, listened to that album in all its stages, from start to end, and approved the album with the somewhat accusatory line "SUGE shot me"? 🤷🏽♂️😅
Really fam don't get caught up it's in God's hands 🙌 he's not worth it . Trust me I feel You though 💯percent he took An individual away who could have changed things for the positive.
2Pac wanted out because of the Snoop beef - along with other things - like feeling he was in the dark financially as to what he was owed in late August / early September. He wanted an audit and to know where he stood. And he was coming up on the royalty payout for AEOM. Suge gave him cash, a house, cars, jewelry, video shoots, etc but those were being put on 2Pac's tab - they weren't free. He loved Suge and felt loyal to him for Suge taking a chance and getting Pac out of prison when Interscope and everyone else basically said Fuck You to 2Pac in jail. They agreed on paper it was gonna be a short-term deal: Three Albums. And 2Pac was rushing to get the shit done and move on to his other creative ventures. By late August, Makaveli was finished; so mentally 2Pac felt was basically a free agent planning his next move. He said in interviews during Gang Related filming he was tired of Rap. Who wouldn't be as a versatile Artist after recordings hundreds of unreleased songs? I think Suge would've given Pac his own label (Euphanasia) with creative control but DR would be the distributor. Suge wanted Pac in Vegas so they could spend time together and work on moving forward. Suge gets painted as the "Hitler" of the rap industry. But I'm convinced that drive-by shooting on the Vegas strip was intended for Suge as well - if he wasn't in fact the primary target. Somebody(s) wanted Suge and Pac out of the way to take over a half billion dollar company in my opinion. It's important to remember how much Suge paid to keep Snoop out of jail too. Something like $5 mil total for that trial. Suge ain't gonna let his cash-cows just walk away. He's got enough sense as a businessman. Even Snoop wanted out of Death Row. He was only vocal about it after Pac died and Tha Doggfather flopped. Crazy to think if 2Pac lived... would MASTER P have come calling in 97/98? Percy was an even bigger baller in the business than Suge. Percy would go on to become the Donald Trump of the rap business.
Love every sentence of this except the part of the drive-by. It’s generally regarded as fact nowadays that Pac was shot by Orlando Anderson, a SS Crip who earlier that night Pac punched for stealing a member of DR’s chain earlier that summer in LA. Pure gang retaliation. Sad that such a star could be ended over some gang shit
Spot on. I could see P buying Pac off DR then cutting him loose to do his own thing. Pa could've never rapped again and been just fine and Master P would've beena great business partner for movies since he was already in that lane as well.
Just because Master P gave a shot out to Suge don’t mean Suge wasn’t bogus, Suge got what he needed and still was playing stupid games, he ain’t all that he would go to another black man Job, Mike Tyson and stomp another black man over a damn chain, it’s on video I don’t care about Suge accolades when he himself put himself in his own demise east coast west coast beef .. Suge was in that and it killed so many behind that
Thank you 😊 for all this great info I agree with you about the shoot out was meant to be for both men Pac and Suge, both men don’t see Suge got them out off jail Snoop now saying Suge never paid him at all Music Industry Elites white Supremacy got pac killed and frame Suge to go jail so they steal all riches and record label too
Pac oozed Charisma. He was intelligent and articulate in his response and answers. Rappers nowadays are so dumb they can't even form sentences out their mouth without dropping the f bomb and other expletives. Here is Pac doing an interview fresh out the courtroom giving his account on the false allegations made against him and not once did he curse out anyone. This dude was beyond street smart. Had Pac not signed with Death Row he'd still be alive today in 2023. Suge saw this man's anger and used it as a tool to misdirect that anger and resentment he had towards Biggie and the world.

Now snoop is.
I beg the difference he got caught up but his heart was pure and he didn’t love u or your evil empire . He loved the fame
and money. He was grounded in freedom and death row
Was oppression. He was a free spirit he was acting and got caught up he hadn’t matured
Nah suge your type got no love for no one but yourself, but pac got a pure heart unlike you.
Tupac wasn't happy with Death Row records, that's why he made 3 albums in record time.
He speaks like an abusive "Husband" in one way Relationship, hes a damm liar, Pac was putting so many albums out to buy his way out of the contract everyone knows that, im glad this evil creature is in jail and i hope he never comes out!!
Pac had to make 3 mo albums b4 he could get out dat contract thats y we got 2in1 all eyes on me and makaveli...i think pac was 1of tha 1st 2do 2in1cd fr
Suge was an abusive bf
This guy was a manipulating man who pur fear on many.... May he rot in prison for controlling all those wonderful artist
This was few days after Pac's death.
Does this guy look like mourning for a good friend?
He probably was mourning he couldn’t cry on live tv cause then people will try and punk him
@@NateThaGreat187 punk him? How? Nobody punked shaq when he cried for Kobe. Cut the bullshit. This dude is the devil which is why he is suffering now.
@Dominic Francis it was. Idk wtf that guy is saying. Suge didn't do no interviews for a while after Tupac died.
Hell nah 🤣😂 he looks very relaxed 😎 to me.
2pac said himself " I was successful on death row but I wasn't happy there "
He was trying 2 bang out as many albums as possible an get out of there cus yall was playing him out his 💰
That was a spliced together vocal clip. 2pac died repping Death Row. He never said those words lmao
He want to leave but he was trying to pay him back the money for getting him out of jail that's why he was making them hits an sugar ass was playing him trying to keep him tgere
Surge and Pac was Powerfull.
He owed 2pac and Jewell money for taking Death Row to the next level. Jewell was on majority of the hooks, but never got the credit, money, or career she deserved and she was actually working 💯
Don't forget Nate Dogg.....
Basically he’s saying I wasn’t letting him leave. Tupac was definitely trying to leave and Suge wasn’t trying to let him leave. That’s how Deathrow East came into play
His One Nation album was gonna be his way out of the East Coast/West Coast tension that the media was stirring up.
Yes with Treach and others
He was gonna get up with nas in Atlanta
Yup!!!
Like the story goes. They said a bounty was manifested. Then a beat down was witnessed by the entire world. Then the two evils rolled into one. Pac died in Vegas. His last words was I don't think I'm gonn make it this time.
You know you are a monster when literally everyone in the game wanted or wants nothing to do with you. Some were even beefing with each other but even people who were intimidated into staying would (quietly) say that man isn’t right. Professionally, or mentally
He wanted to start Makaveli Records just stop Suge
Yeah makaveli distributed by deathrow
I read once Tupac didn’t own property and died with only £100,000 in his bank his mother had to sue to get what’s owed
Apparently royalties from AEOM didn't come in yet. That's why
True Suge never paid him hardly nothing but his mother died
@@jaajaarogers9101 did 2pac not owe suge for getting him out of prison..correct me if I'm wrong but he had a bounty on him in prison to either get killed or crippled and suge come to him with some bushit handwritten contract.
He & Biggie were each valued in the multiple hundreds of Mills...easy 1.3Bills between them because Biggie's murder would have cost the city he died in more than $600mill..that's what his last album in it's prime was sitting at interms of record company evaluations...it's believed pac sat a Lil higher & that's what fucked everything for him on suges side, this man & diddy were advised by white corporate sharks...."if these two die... you two stay behind blessed and rich"...it's believed PACs final shooting was a stage, bullets fly same direction & Suge don't even get hit????
Suge/Diddy...Bloods/Crips all know the truth, problem is the KKK LAPD that may fuck'em aaàaaaaaaall up!
@@DJSkandalous
Yep 💯
In Suges defence (and this is one of the few topics u will see me say that about Suge), it apparently woulda took a year and a half for royalites to come in. And Pac was obviously killed before that time.
This guy said 2pac so much I thought he was gonna start saying Tupac Tupac Tupac like Damon on Friday after next 😂😆
🤣🤣 bruh!!
“Listen, I got a scheme, break away do my own thang. Drop some conversation, sit back and let the phone ring…”
That's not what Tupacs aunt says even his bodyguard Frank Alexander was was given a termination letter. Frank said when he quested Tupac on it, he told him not to worry he was taking Frank with with him.
This answer is based on, as far as he knew. Real G’s move in silence.
He was in contract to say deathrow on his songs lol
They were brothers❤❤
Suge felt Tupac was a threat so he cancelled him 😭
Suga carma got you 😎
it's "karma" btw
@@egoistagatto7942 yes it is😀
Bro he wanted to leave n you took it personal n had him killed
He told the outlaws not to sign with death row once he left.
This dude set up 2pac and Big to keep their royalty from their albums.
Suge sound like he got something goin on
The fist thing he said on mackaveli was “ Shook shot me “
.... listen again he says
shouldn't of shot me
U know there are STILL idiots out there who believe that Suge, who positioned himself as executive producer, listened to that album in all its stages, from start to end, and approved the album with the somewhat accusatory line "SUGE shot me"? 🤷🏽♂️😅
You should ask him that?? when he was already dead.. man really killed this dude...
Yeah the other plan was to leave death row
He has something to do with his death ! He knew tupac was worth more when he was dead ! This guy walks over dead bodies...
Dude you already know this guy was about Tupac he was about money nothing else. Cold no remorse what a fool.
That’s real talk! Pac loved Death Row and Suge.. the big homie said it right
Sure Knight Is Not Fooling Me I'll Meet Him Outside After He Gets Out Of The Joint
Lmao
He never gonna get out industry Frame him so he die in jail
Look at this guy…
Lmao bro you’ll get knocked tf out
Really fam don't get caught up it's in God's hands 🙌 he's not worth it . Trust me I feel You though 💯percent he took An individual away who could have changed things for the positive.
When he stuttered thats when he fucked up
2Pac wanted out because of the Snoop beef - along with other things - like feeling he was in the dark financially as to what he was owed in late August / early September.
Great analysis!
Suge was in that and it killed so many behind that
Thank you 😊 for all this great info I agree with you about the shoot out was meant to be for both men Pac and Suge, both men don’t see Suge got them out off jail Snoop now saying Suge never paid him at all Music Industry Elites white Supremacy got pac killed and frame Suge to go jail so they steal all riches and record label too
Tupac wanted his own label company. The way Suge knight responded u can tell he’s not answering with a straight answer. Facts
You robbed him and then set him up to die by his enemy
Yes very true
Pac oozed Charisma. He was intelligent and articulate in his response and answers. Rappers nowadays are so dumb they can't even form sentences out their mouth without dropping the f bomb and other expletives. Here is Pac doing an interview fresh out the courtroom giving his account on the false allegations made against him and not once did he curse out anyone. This dude was beyond street smart. Had Pac not signed with Death Row he'd still be alive today in 2023. Suge saw this man's anger and used it as a tool to misdirect that anger and resentment he had towards Biggie and the world.
pac is gone but not forgotten he is the truth no capping let him rip
Tupac made a deal with the devil and wanted out.
Why these man used such an negative word to name an label 🏷 do they know words are powerful what you put out there in the universe you receive it back
It was dr Dre’s label at first u forgot?
Jewell Rip came up with name and logo idea!It was used because almost all the artists had cases that why it was named that!!!
And pac put out negative things and he received them too
@@jasongonzalez2856 they all have case's but why would they still want to live they lives through the same case's which is nothing good bad energy ,toxic energy, bad sprite, toxic sprite, the prison system have that name deaths row and each man that's under that name in prison is set to die why outside to live a clean and better life and still want to walk around with deaths on your head or shoulders 🤔 makes that makes sense black man enjoy live on the plantation and think they're living when they only living for survive pull time for black to take self-recognition and stop live into self destruction 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏼
He said yea before he answered pay attention
Yea, literally means a lot, example : yea for alright i have to answer that, yea for I understand your question, and yea for many more, don’t get it all messed up , pac loved death row , listen to his songs, most of them ? He proud call out the name , death row !
If you love Tupac why did let him get shot at?
Exactly 1 of Americas MOST wanted just killed that easy ? In Vegas after all that drama !? Doesn't add up
I didn’t think I could hear the name Tupac that many times in this short.
Yes he did wanted to leave but suga wouldn't let him talking all about the money he owned
2 pac was not leaving he was bizzy to open up deathrow record east side. Suge is right about this. And suge would not harm his investment
He owed Pac $3,000,000
So he got stiffed
Real Eyes Realize Real Lies
Dunno what to think here..
It's a great sound byte. Pure lies though.
Shout to Suge Knight.
Suge knight is a hypocrite that's y he an inmate now🤣💯
Karma definitely 😁 got his 🗣️ ass

You don't tell your boss or company you're leaving til a prescribed time. Too soon they may play with your check.
And then he wanted to get paid and you had him killed

I guess Suge must have not only really trusted that hired killers word, but also really believed in his marksmanship to sit next to a target.
🤣🤣
2pac was ready to leave Death Row Records that why he made One Nation and Makaveli 2pac was leaving he was done with Suge Knight.
I’m sure he didn’t promote death row on Makaveli 💁
Fact
But he did promote death row on songs he made after Makaveli
Evil soul in this man ! Every1 loves suge
