The combination of genres is so wonderful!!. A little of post-punk revival (Libertines, Strokes), a little Riot Grrrl (Gits, Bikini kill), a little of PJ Harvey, and maybe a little from Teri from Le Butcherettes. I Know, you're search your own style but this is my level of comparation, to this sounds me and i really love it!!

I remember being in denial that they were a great band back then because of their age. No doubt now they're incredible and every song on their last album Further Joy is a good listen.
She's awesome. Legit rocker. Why can't this type of music be what's topping the charts these days? I realize, it's not good music that's dead, it's just that the mainstream audience likes shit.

Oh wow...I wasn't expecting that. I tend to listen to more extreme stuff (black metal)...but I could see myself listening to this stuff on a regular basis. Excellent!

I enjoyed this. It bothers me though that the music industry has always been so reluctant to give women who aren't just attractive stage props singing other people's songs a chance. When I hear stuff by Mother Superior, The Go-Gos, The Breeders, etc. I wonder how much we've missed out on over the years. I suppose stuff like this. I wish The Regrettes luck :-)

There are SO MANY others. Even ones that sing exclusively in English (Lovebites). But all of them put to shame so much of the western guy bands I've been hearing on the Radio for the past few decades. You can even find Terry Bozzio's daughter in law playing in a Japanese all-girl band (Aldious).

I saw them in St.Loius right when they started out at a little place called Off Broadway (great show) but spoke to them for awhile after the show and they were all very sweet and willing to stay and talk as long as any fan wanted. Love them!❤❤❤
