  • On Saturday, April 23, I launched my Explorator rocket for the first time! This flight flew on an H165R motor with the goal of getting my Junior Level 1 High-Power Rocket Certification and reached a recorded height of 4253ft! This was my first high-power flight and mostly went well, with the only issue being that the payload bay nosecone separated when it wasn't supposed to, causing me to not be certified this time. There was also another onboard camera inside of the rocket that accidentally got ejected with the parachute and got lost. I look forward to being back to try again in a few weeks with the things that I learned!
Special thanks to the Bluegrass Rocketry Society for letting me launch with them and helping me set up!

I got bored of making them and didn't have a lot of time, I might make some more over the summer but I'm mostly focused on school and model rockets right now.
