It kills me how even after Susie heard everything they were plotting, Louis and his mom still thought that had any chance of their plans still working. Just goes to show how messed up those two really were.
Twenty minutes in and Louis is already asking what he's getting from the will. The answer is nothing, Louis. Nothing at all. You're the fiance. No parent would put their child's fiance in their will. You're not their family.
The minute they said “we don’t care about the money”, I would have said awesome!!! I’m signing the house over to my sister and giving my monitory inheritance to my mom so she can live comfortably”.
Louis: Are you really planning on messing up my and mom’s life like that?? Me: Excuse me?! Who were the ones going to mess up Susie’s life first because of money from her late father?
Wow so many narcissist vibes. The gaslighting, the deflection, stalking. Making her out to be the one in the wrong and they are the good ones. Sounds like all the narcissists I had in my life.
Grieving takes as long as it takes I have lost both of my parents and 3 of my brothers and one of my sisters. I think of them all every day and still miss them.
This reminds me of my Uncle blowing up my phone a few days after my mom passed away, trying to settle everything when it came to my grandmother's estate. Let people grieve in their own way; when they say no, it means no.
It's *always* okay to break up with someone. For any reason or none at all. Even if they hadn't been treating Susie and Katie horribly, even if they really were the wonderful people they claimed to be... *she still has the right to break up with him any time she wants to.* She should call the police if he won't accept her decision and back off.
The moment someone talking about inheritance during funeral, that's the major red flag. Too many red flags but she didn't realize it? I'm so annoyed. Urghhhhhhh
I'm just wondering why Susie's fiance and his mom were like "sell the house and we don't have to pay rent" and so on. But like why not move into the house
because changing the name on a house that is oredi in her name is not as easy as when buying a house and convince her to put the husband's name on it. if they try to change the name of the existing house to her husband's name, up goes all those red flags.
No Katie was the perfect target. She was weak and was manipulated. Luckily, she had her own income, so she was able to leave. But she stupidly handed over Dads inheritance and did what they wanted to get the love and attention. All she was able to do was save another woman, Susie, for making the same mistake.
The moment Louis accused Susie of living an illusion, I would have started putting stickers on Louis’s texts to make him accuse himself of living a delusion.
I lost my dad just 2 months after my wedding. He passed away 20 years ago, it’s still hurts and I still miss him so much. It does get a little easier but there will always be things that happen in life (like I really wish my dad was here to see my children, I found out 2 weeks after he passed that I was pregnant and I wish I could’ve at least told him I was pregnant), that you wish he could see or even things that happen you wish you could talk to him about. The pain does get better though, it just takes a lot of time. I’m so sorry for your loss
@@cybercat29 I’m so sorry for both of your losses. I almost lost my mom to cancer a few years ago. I was devastated thinking I was going to lose both my parents. I can’t even imagine what you have been through. I hope you’re doing well
I lost my cousin 3 weeks after my dad passed, she was only 40, then found out a month after that that I only have around 7/8 years left due to an autoimmune that causes organ failure, so I'm never going to see my kids marry or have children. They have to live with that
Right, If it was me, I would've said if you keep talking like I will rethink this marriage. We get married under the conditions, not living near both our mothers. You don't like it, Fine. We're not getting married. But they knew what they were doing she was a pushover. She just gratefully had better luck of realizing she was being tricked.
What a greedy fiancé and his mother. Glad she cancelled the wedding. As for children, Suzie has a mother too, so no need to specifically live near the MIL. That's the Mama's boy wanting to live near Mommy. Besides ... advice is just that ... advice ... meant to be either taken or left alone or totally disregarded. MIL and fiancé, mind you own business. Funny how they keep saying that the future MIL has so much knowledge etc., well, Suzie has a mother who also has knowledge, etc., so why should she listen to the greedy pair? I hope she's smart enough to get an iron clad prenup if there is another guy later on.
When your husband and in laws to be hound you endlessly to do something that's clearly against your best interest and their behavior is inconsistent. like treating you like a queen but treating another Dil who was in your position before like an indentured servant. All of the above means that they are nothing more than a grifter and there just for the money. Once they have the money you become an indentured servant.
Some see me as a soft touch. When my friend said that in front of my sister, sis absolutely cracked up. Laughed her head off. Sis replied she is deadly to anyone who is a risk to those she loves. She'll help anyone at any time but cross her and heaven help you. Her silence is your last warning and that silence is deadly. I just looked at my sis and was like...... when am i silent?
I'm glad she turned around and said it in the beginning she wasn't selling the house. They're not even married yet and he was pushing and then here's the mother-in-law talking crazy. Even when she comes over to have a talk that would have scared me right off the way she's talking to the other young lady I would have been like ghost
I'd love it if Susie's dad came back as a ghost and was messing with those two ingrates, scaring them into never scamming people again. They don't go to jail, but live in the basement, and do all the work around the house, with the ghost keeping them in their place. Over time Louis really does fall in love with Suzie but she's married to a wonderful person who he sees treating her well, and just had to accept his fate.
Fiance and MIL couldn't touch her money even if they were married tens of years. Unless Susie actually put their name on the bank accounts and deeds, nobody could touch anything, and she could write them out of her will so in case of accidental death, they would not inherit. This story falls through with the writers not thinking clearly. Even with that, the story was interesting to listen to, at least.
This is why people need to be able to act on disrespect no matter the relationship or "how good they are to you" ! The 1st red flag was living next to his mother and not your mother, after that the constant "convincing" katie story was a bonus but that was enough and to overhear the conversation was more than enough. Susie should've told her mother right away, but overall I like this story.
Morning everyone from a rainy Alabama. The will is usually only family members not possible in laws. It's honestly non of his business. He is so dang stupid
Her father just died, she's still feeeling the grief of his death and trying to come to grips wih his death.... yet RACHEL is sitting there talking about his will.. I'm disgusted... this would've made me mad... 1st off you don't have to tell rachel or louis shyt.... it's literally NONE of their gotdamn business what she do with HER inheritance..2nd: why would she be the one to divide the assets? Is she blood related? Was she in her fathers will? I'm confused why this interloper thought she had a say so in someon else's family matters? She's not even her MIL yet. susie should've really ran then... MIL & Louis wasn't hiding their greed and what they really wanted. She didn't need katie to tell her anything.. the red flags were flying, she just wasn't paying any attention.
Talk about obvious! He has made it clear that all he wants is money. Mom made her intentions clear. The author wrote an incredibly sappy story. The mistakes in the story are glaringly obvious.
Why would a MIL think she could get her greedy hands on her DILS inheritance ? The husband either. Inheritance isn’t marital property and it’s NOT for MIL to control or spend FFS. Are they tapped ?
How did they know about the house when she didnt even know about it until she got it as inheritence? Also a text stroy with the characters acting face to face, makes no sense 😅
I just don’t understand why people think they are intitled to inherit anything when there is a surviving spouse. In my opinion nothing should go to the children of the deceased until both parents are gone, unless it’s a step parent involved, and then it really should be in a will.
the best thing to answer anyone who asks about inheritance...is to say....most of it was left to charity...and there is very little left...no ones business...and you need no advise....?

First words she should have said: prenup. And separate accounts.

louis is too desperate for his fiancee: inheritance......?
I was hoping to hear that they where going to help Katie out as she is going to need it x
The mother did have a choice instead of bringing them in her home. Call 911 and report trespassers.
Love the va playing the mil, she really puts her all into the story.
It's the same actress doing all the female voices...
As a woman who lost her father last August, I can understand her pain. I'm still heartbroken about it, but I'll get over it eventually.

Blinded by grief. It's why people tell you not to make any major decisions for at least a year because your mind is just a whirlwind.
And then you have parasites wanting to take her money
