    Done plenty of oil changes on petrol engines. Came here when I saw something different (the canister) and now I know what to expect when I take it off.

    No stripped threads and no skinned knuckles - so definitely a win!

      Wasn't too painful an experience. The fuel filter looks a bit painful so not looking forward to that one

    It’s probably the best oil it’s had in its life. 👌🏼

    Just bought a Santa Fe after the transmission cooler on my outlander leaked CVT fluid into my coolant. Thanks for the video. Looks like it takes a lot of engine oil!

      Yes it does! Takes 6.7 L with the oil filter.

    I'm guessing a 2015 model would be the same. Only reason I ask is your dash looks a bit different and mine doesn't say goodbye.

    Great video! I have a 2014 Santa Fe and work on it myself. Great to see how you approach your work. Let's me know what to expect.
    Also noticed the caravan....do you tow it with the Santa Fe?

    I thought a man of your talents would be wearing gloves... my Kia proceed has the filter pointing up with a 27mm plastic nut to undo, really makes a mess and if it's windy the oil drains into the undertray 😏

    Just bought a santa Fe ourselves. Underneath is filthy.... I want to get the wheels off one at a time to clean the wells.... I can use a trolley Jack with a pad to jack on the sills, but wondering where you put the stands? There's not enough room next to the Jack?

    • @Badgertronix
      @Badgertronix  2 года назад +1

      You have to find a suitable point on the subframe to jack from

      @@Badgertronix thanks mate☺️. Just had a look... Yeah the sub frame at the front on each side looks like a go... Piece of wood on jack and each wheel at a time.... Stands on the pinch weld. Rear looks like from the cross member and both wheels at once.

    Hey mate,
    Been to Repco and looked on their recommendations. Says to use 10-40w for non particulate model.
    Why did you use 5w?

    • @Badgertronix
      @Badgertronix  2 года назад +1

      check the recommendation on the Penrite website. They only recommend the HPR Diesel 5 with no substitute allowed for the non DPF version. However 10w-40 is fine according to the owners manual so whatever works for you.
