I still need to give Outer Wilds a shot. It seems like a beaitiful game that's right up my alley. Whenever I hear about this game I think about how it might correlate to Majora's Mask in the way in handles time loops. It would be interesting to see some sort of comparison of the two titles and their themes, or how those themes might be enhanced due to the design of each game. Anyways, sorry for the minor tangent. I'm glad I finally got around to watching your content. Great video, dude!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Outer Wilds is an easy one to recommend too, though it takes a few hours for things to fully 'click', once it does you won't stop thinking about it. Majora's Mask is a good thematic comparison point. Both games instill that melancholic awareness of 'The End of Days' - you end up appreciating their relatively small game worlds because you make an honest connection with it and you'll yearn to be its savior. Majora's Mask nails that feeling on a domestic, personal level, while Outer Wilds deals with that on a more cosmic scale. I hadn't fully realised their similarities until now so thanks for sharing!
Great job dude keep up the great work!! You put so much work into this, you clearly lack subscribers haha. I love this game and I love your thoughts about it. Have you seen Razbuten's videoessay on outer wilds? I think you might like it :)
Eyy, glad you liked it! Outer Wilds is one of those rare games that really makes you think about your place in the world and that topic is fascinating to dwell on. Normally I catch all of Raz's videos but somehow that one slipped between the cracks - watching it now!
props on the well made vid!
