This is an IOS tutorial to use Vudu's Disc to Digital Service.
The key is opening Vudu.com on your phone’s Web browser.
Do not use the Vuvu app!
Log into your Vudu account on your phone’s Web browser.
Select the dropdown menu in the top left corner.
    Navigate to "My Library".
Select "Disc to Digital" at the bottom of the sub-menu.
The disc to digital utility screen will appear.
Scroll down until you see a green button that says "Convert Disc".
    Click that button!
Your phone may ask to use your current location, and this location needs to correspond to your billing address.
    Click "Allow".
You need to have a payment option, location services, and your phone camera activated for this to work.
Click “Convert Disc” in the blue box.
    Your camera will launch.
Here are two example discs to show two different possibilities.
Use your camera to image the UPC proof of purchase code on the disc’s case.
Vuvu will import this image into the platform to determine if the disc is eligible for disc to digital conversion.
Some discs are not eligible, and if this is the case, you will get this error message.
Those discs you cannot directly convert, but here's a Pro Tip: you can often find them for sale for $5 in Vudu’s weekly deals.
So, look there, too, if disc to digital conversation option doesn’t work for you.
To return to the UPC snapshot function, click Capture Photo.
Your camera will again become enabled, and you can take a picture of the next UPC label.
Hey, this time it worked; this DVD is Vudu disc to digital eligible!
You’ll be given video quality options at different price points.
Select the video quality you want, and the purchase will be added to your cart.
From here you can try to convert more disks or go to the cart to checkout.
In the cart the total cost to perform all the conversions you’ve captured in this session will appear.
Select "Convert Now", and Vudu will automatically bill your payment method and add the content to your library.
Thanks for watching this short tutorial, and I hope you found these steps helpful.

After I convert the movies it won’t let me proceed with the purchase nor does it let me open my cart any updates?

A problem people are running into, myself included, is that after selecting the convert disc button, the error message, “please enable location permissions in device settings” (at least on iOS). I’ve tried changing location settings for Safari and the message still pops up and won’t allow you to proceed. Any tricks on how to get around that?

Figured it out! For those who see this and still have the issue. In settings, go to Safari, then go all the way down to Settings for Websites, select location, and be sure it says “ask.”

What if it says that and nothing has changed?

@@Aggression-hc3ypIf you followed his steps and then mine and it’s still not working, I’m sorry. Honestly though, they’ve removed eligibility for so many titles, it may no longer be worth the effort. I was excited when I finally got it to work again, only to get 3 digital copies out of the 70 or so I checked. Most films won’t be accepted, and it’s likely on purpose.

@@LastSifu Thank you for this update! I just found out about this and was super excited but it seems like a lot of people are running into the conversion problem, you can tell they want to sweep this feature under the rug too, that's why it's not within the actual vudu app. My suggestion for one last try would be try taking pictures of the movie sideways so that the label reads upright in the picture, that seems to help but doesn't guarantee it will work

@@MellojosephIt is annoyingly difficult to get the scanning just right, but I figured out a technique that works consistently. Holding the barcode an inch or two away from the phone and then tilting it back works well for a clear picture with no glare. The problem now is that they just won’t convert most movies anymore. It responds with something to the effect of, “Sorry, we don’t do digital copies of this one at this time.” To your point about this feature missing from that app and with so few titles eligible for conversion, it would appear they’ve all but abandoned this service.
