Excellent recipe! But, if you want exactly street-style flavour, then do make some changes which I made:
1. Don't boil tomatoes and red chillies. Simply soak the chilles in hot water for 15 mins. Then, directly crush/blend the tomatoes along with chillies in your mixer grinder. (No need to remove the tomato peel)
2. Fry the garlic and ginger for a minute, then add to it the tomato-chilli paste which you just now grinded. Cook this well (on low flame) for about 15 mins until it is thick.
3. Add the soya sauce, lemon juice, salt and sugar in the end (when it's all cooked and thick).
4. Lastly, allow it to cool down. Then, again blend it all in the mixer grinder. This will give your chutney a smooth texture.
I have tried this recipe and thought to share my experience.

I tried it today. And it's even better than any of the street momo chutney we must have had. Though you want to avoid adding a lot of chillies and add little more tomatos if you are cooking for the whole family.
