    At this point, making a wild card appearance would make us all so proud of them and wipe the embarrassment of the last 7 years

      It’s possible but as fans the chiefs game restored a lot for us. I think we def gonna be fighting for a spot at the very least tho as long as we keep playing like this

      All I know is: after that Cheefs game, I felt proud to be a fan of the team again for the first time since the day after Super Bowl 50. It’s been a dark tunnel that Broncos fans have been lucky to have never seen before, but maybe there’s light at the end after all.

    It'll be interesting to see how he, Cooper, and Benitto can all play together moving forward. Perhaps Cooper plays the edge in base, slides inside next to Allen on passing downs, with Browning or Benitto at the edges?

    • @retro4425
      @retro4425 Год назад +1

      It’s what they’ve done sometimes, look at film. They’ll line browning and Benito outside and Allen with a 3-point stance while cooper is also inside but can go multiple direction changes by crashing inside or looping around the Oline

    The Broncos rebuilt their outside linebacker room after getting rid of Miller and chubb without using a first round pick. With Cooper and Benito on the other side, this could be a formidable homegrown group moving forward.

    Tbf our whole defense has been on a incline after the dolphins game. Dropping Gregory and Clark made it even better. If we get back to 2022 defensive form, Denver is looking at a wildcard run thank to our now decent offensive production.

    What defense are they running?

    • @AtoZSportsFilmRoom
      @AtoZSportsFilmRoom  Год назад +14

      Vance Joseph has traditionally run a 3-4 with mostly cover 1/cover 3, but Fangio/Evero ran a 4-2-5 (nickel 4-down front) with a lot of quarters/cover 6/cover 1 out of 2-hi. So it's kind of been a mix of those two schemes.
      These are their tendencies through 8 weeks:
      4-2-5: 37% (4th)
      3-4: 32% (1st)
      Light Box: 56% (10th)
      2-Hi Shell: 58% (9th)
      Man Covg: 23% (19th)
      Zone Covg: 58% (19th)
      Covg Disguise: 31% (7th)
      Blitz: 25% (14th)
      Stunt: 14.6% (25th)

    and yet Justin Simmons gets AFC D player of the week!!? Forget those other guys. Worship the guy playing goalie for Manchester United. Just for your info. A real film analysis doesn't just breakdown player 'highlights'. It also breaks down the plays that did NOT go their way and evaluates the sum total. Browning is NOT becoming an elite edge rusher by that criteria. He is a much better middle LB [as Fangio understood] who can cover, and has very good sideline to sideline ability.
