I agree but while distributing lines I believe the producers take into account whose vocals will suit which part better or who can sing which part better. They even continuously give instructions to sing their lines in a particular way. Maybe it was their plan for Kai and Tae to sing in a different way to express different kind of emotions. Huening Kai and Taehyun have different types of vocals, actually all five of them have quite different vocals from one another. Only Soobin and Beomgyu's falsetto sounded similar to me in their earlier days. But now I can distinguish between them as well. In their behind the scenes video, Kai mentioned he try to feel the emotions while singing but Taehyun said he'd rather focus on the technique rather than feeling the emotions. I personally think Kai's voice is softer so it suits love songs or sad breakup songs more. While Taehyun has strong vocals, and I think hate, aggressive break-up songs are better for him. They are good friends and they're still a team. Please let's not argue over who's better than whom. If they all sounded similar, why would Bighit cast 5, right?
