There was an incident in Alberta, Canada where a woman on text, called a Native woman "big head". Her name is Big Head. The text was accidentally sent to Ms.Big Head.
She had been scheduled for mandatory release in 2018 due to a Texas law meant to prevent prison overcrowding. To avoid this, Jones was indicted on May 25, 2017, for the murder of 11-month-old Joshua Sawyer. Nico LaHood, Bexar County District Attorney, stated that additional charges could be filed in the deaths of other children. Due to the mandatory early-release law covering Jones' original convictions, she would otherwise have been released upon completion of a third of the original sentence. The new charges were filed to avoid her release. In April 2018, a judge in San Antonio denied a request to dismiss five new murder indictments against Jones.
This is ridiculous, she killed many young lives that were so innocent, she should have had life, not 34 years, life.

I’m a paramedic and I will never let a nurse give any meds without my ok. She would find herself on the side of the road and will have to answer a few questions from the police/ medical director.
Sounds like you’ve encountered some very bad nurses, as have I. I’ve been an RN for almost 40 years, and am appalled by the demeanor and behavior (not to mention lack of critical thinking skills) of many younger nurses, especially new grads. The level of narcissism and unprofessionalism is off the charts, not to mention overall complacency and lack of concern for the well-being of their patients. This is what happens when you lower the bar and standards. A two-DAY licensing examination has been decompressed into approximately 70 questions, and clinical preparation has been severely curtailed. I know I’ll probably catch a lot of flak for this post, but I don’t care. It’s the truth. Btw, I have the greatest respect for paramedics. I worked alongside some of the best when I worked in the ER.
@@chynnadoll3277 I have to rewatch this video so I can make a better response, but I know exactly what you’re saying and agree. I’m from Iowa and most of my training and education comes from that state. When I become a paramedic and later a critical care paramedic I was working full time on the streets in Illinois. Being an ER nurse I’m sure you have seen some shit medics with no hope and some that are just getting started and learning (giving practicing medicine it’s name). It takes a few years to truly understand and apply the skills and knowledge to be effective without fear of failure IMO. A lot of people and this is including healthcare professionals outside of the emergency department have no clue what advanced providers (Paramedics, CCP, flight medics, and others) scope of practice details. I bet most still think we operate like the TV show “emergency” with a doctor on the radio giving orders as we treat the patients. What I’m getting at is EMS folks train and focus on things that can prevent death to give more time so that we can get the patient to higher levels care without serious injury later like being brain damage. We practice them skills so much it becomes second nature. In Illinois they have PHRN or prehospital registered nurse. It’s a title given to registered nurses that take a very short class (5 sessions and 10 ALS calls) and after that they can now operate as a paramedic in the field. I’ll post the link below for more details, but it appears now they must pass the NREMT to become licensed. That would not be a problem for a nurse that works the type of calls you see and hear daily like an ER nurse but even then as a FTO I have seen ER nurses struggle with other things like working in low light, moving ambulances, and limited space to just name a few, but that’s minor compared to the chaos we deal with daily and honestly they will pickup quickly over them 10 calls. I typed this over my phone so it’s probably all over the place. I’ll edit it after I watch it again.

Just an update:
Jones was set to be released in March because of a change in the law aimed at reducing prison crowding. But that was prevented by the new indictments. Since May, Jones has been indicted on charges of killing five Bexar County children who died in 1981 and 1982, all from overdoses. She currently is being held in the Bexar County jail.

When I was in preterm labor with my second child I read a book about Jeanine Jones. I was drawn to little Chelsea for some reason I didn’t understand yet. My baby’s name was supposed to be Shelby Shaine up to the day she was born. It was not a normal pregnancy by any means and labor was no different. She was 7 weeks early and my water had been leaking for a week. I was stuck at 3 centimeters with a broken water for 19 hours. Finally I was dilating and allowed and epidural. It was about 9:30pm at this time and I had been in so much pain for so long I was delusional. When the anesthesiologist went to put the epidural needle in my back my baby dropped all the way down from a +2 and 4 centimeter to a -3 fully dilated and he still proceeded to inject all the medication knowing this, it wasn’t in the right place, it was in my spinal sac and numbed my spine instead the nerves in the canal. I stopped breathing pretty quickly, I lost feeling, hearing and sight, in that order then I was out. When I woke up my baby was no longer in my belly and I was still on life support. I was later told when I jerked it caused the needle to puncture my sac and he should’ve aspirated to make sure he wasn’t there and for some reason didn’t. This is the very reason they’re so strict about being still, while there was nothing I could do to change it he absolutely could’ve. He made this mistake because he was inexperienced and he panicked.
It was essentially the same thing Jeanine Jones did to her victims, it’s what she did to Chelsea.
My daughter was born healthy and because I had crowned they were able to suction her out immediately and she was never in danger, I was. I named her Chelsea Shaine after little Chelsea McClellan. I wanted to honor that sweet Babygirl who was taken to soon in such an unfair way, not that it’s ever fair when a child passes. I didn’t know her but I loved her she touched me so deeply I named my child after her. My Chelsea is now 24 and she knows who she got her name from and she knows why. She is honored to have been named for Chelsea, we both hope she knows how special she is.
In case anyone is wondering no I did not sue for what happened. After 6 weeks in preterm labor, 5 of which where in that hospital, I had no want for revenge. I wasn’t even angry about it. I was young and just happy to be alive and have a healthy happy baby.

I remember when she did that same thing to me back in 81 I had went to the hospital for surgery on my arm . It was some time at night when she had came to my room and checked on me and gave me some ice cream . When she went out the door she looked back at me and said I'm gonna give you a shot so you can feel better . I was thinking to myself why I needed a shot for I'm not sick . When she came back she gave me the shot and the next day I woke up in the ICU . I was told by my mother that she wanted to see me , but she wasn't allowed to and was told that they had lost me and was brought back and lost me again . My mother told me that they were still trying to revive me and this time they succeeded . All I remember was waking up with some kind of bubble thing on my head giving me oxygen and later on a doctor says to me hey you finally woke up . This occurred at the bexar county hospital .

If you get sentenced to x number of years, you should have to serve the whole sentence. This mandatory serving 20% of your sentence before possibly being released BS must be stopped!
