Ok let me straight things up here for my Ghanaian brother.Always remember that we had the old system which was just the same as the Jamaican system. We use to do the Common Entrance before U can enter a Sec sch which is 5yrs. Also note that we did 16 subjects from form 1 to form 3. At form 4, U chose Ur subjects according to Ur strength and what U want to pursue in life and that was based on 8 subject which leads to GCE/GCSE O'levels. Which will qualify U to 6th Form for 2yrs where U study a Gen Paper plus 3 other subjects according to what U want to read at Uni. But the New which came into effect around the 90s change the system. So it's better to gv that preamble before U speak on the present type of system which had seen too many changes & reforms. Remember it WAS JSS 3yrs to SSS 4ys changed to SSS 3yrs then 4yrs again. Then SHS When U set that preamble people under our system more before & the transition it's been through. This is a bit of knowledge for both of U. Tanx
So U see how she spoke about the subject classification, the old system was like that. Science subjects, Arts Subjects & Business subjects. Also Eng & Lit were different subjects.
In Jamaica they're just playing with kids. Anna thats no punishment 😢😂 Rich had it rougher 😂😂😂😂. In uganda 7yrs of primary, 6 for secondary education 5hen 3or 4 or even 5 at university depending on the course on takes. For diploma its 2 yrs😮

lol once upon a time it was more intense but now those punishments are no more . I’m glad because I couldn’t manage that 🤣
