Even though enemies receive percentage increased damage vulnerability to weapons and abilities when they are affected by splinter storm, you will 1 shot them regardless, so you don't even notice the Augment unless you're using weapons to kill them or sitting back using your 4th blast explosion.
So you didn't know that's how splinter storm works, people pointed it out, and now you're trying to justify calling it dog shit because you thought all it did was the small ticking damage over time
@@NicholasLayton But the small ticks affect enemies within radius, and when Cc'd you can do a lot of damage.

I was so excited when I first read it.
And then I used it... I really hope de will change it to what we wanted it to be cuz at this point I agree with knightmare, it's dog.
Just a note, I wouldn't say that the augmentation is all that bad. It's not as busted as I had hoped upon first seeing it, but applying shatter shield on all the enemies that get hit is definitely a benefit since it amplifies damage received. It's a 35% damage increase on all enemies affected, I'm just not sure but I think that counts as faction damage multiplier since it affects both weapons and abilities, which would be very good since that scales on power strength.
After a bit of research it is not calculated in the damage modifiers. It is calculated the same way that banshees sonar is, which means it is a separate modifier to the entire damage calculation.
So it basically gives a mini sonar to garas kit by itself that you don't have to aim at a specific spot on the body for.

The weapon does matter if you have a riven or augment for it

Do Arcanes affect your Pseudo Exalted Weapon? Or is it only the Mods and Certain Abilities like Nourish.

Gara ability description chair dance was so damn accurate and haliarious. I have been using gara occasionally for the last couple weeks and never noticed the change and likely wouldnt have for months if this video hadnt popped up.
Made the blind rage variant of this build and yeeeeaaaahhhh...it's absolutely insane. She is now my favorite frame in the game, thank you!

The Fragor Prime with Corrupt Charge gets you 4x combo to start. Which is 100% Damage all the time at base.
This one change where you can pop your bubble while inside makes Gara way more usable. I modded her for more duration like what Brozime did and did what NightmareFrame did and put nourish on her and it is like night and day. No longer worrying about timers since both are over a minute, it is just run around and whirling blades of death everything while not worrying about energy or time.
Put one archon shard on her to start with 30% energy and good to go.

Thank you so much for this video, KnightmareFrame, I used to use Gara all the time years ago when she came out but stopped for reasons I can’t remember. I wanted to start using her again after seeing the augment and qol change, but none of the videos I could find were super recent or relevant, so I gave up until I saw this in my suggested :)

Omg I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this video....I recently built Gara to try the dmg stacking and I was following an (I guess) "old" reddit guide which says to do your 1 on your 4 form the outside......so I have been doing exactly what you demonstrate here 1:09 in my missions xD

I've always felt like my shatter storm damage was affected by other players, it made it hard for me to tack down what was determining that damage

May I suggest putting reflex guard on her, to stack up combo on the stat Stick. Additionally, you can put eclipse on her, to boost the damage from her 1 (I tried it, it works)
I managed to stack about 1 million damage on her 2 per rotation. Admittedly with a riven
I used the eclipse strat for awhile but full strip scales way better than raw damage. Swapped to a pillage build myself.
I'm pretty sure Shattered Lash scales with combo multiplier up to 4x dmg on 12x combo which will help you get more stacks on your Splinter Storm FASTER (I use glaives to build combo to stay stationary)

I just started playing warframe. About 60 hours in now. Currently waiting for my gara to be built. I did heard about the stack damage on her splinter storm before i even got her blueprint. Tho, from all the guides ive seen, its rather terrifying to even try to figure out how the heck do i get to such lengths to even begin to build her 😭 idek that archons or whatever tf those red shards are even existed till a few mins ago 💀
Literally the only thing i even remotely know about is the concept of stat stick. Only cuz ive seen way too many guides explaining what it is and what it does

Hey man, i actually just completed the quest line that got me all that stuff, so ill say, while you are eventually going to need this stuff for very high level, i currently just run a reactored guandao with a bunch of damage mods and ability strength and i get about 15k per cast and break...with efficiency and duration, youll melt enemies into the level hundreds with just four or five casts, and its pretty easy to maintain.
@@zeke2139 dang thats cool. I just got gara like two days ago and as of this moment, im using bo lmao. Just to grind my way to jupiter tho to get a neural sensor to make tipedo. So far so good. Mowing down enemies with melee lmfaoo. I still need to rank my gara up tho cuz rn the only mods i can slap in are for health, shield, armor and a lil bit for energy 😭
So i havent try the splinter storm stack but it did somehow stacked on its own sometimes which im not sure why LMAO but not by a lot ofc. As for guandao, is it good? Might try it if it is. Thanks man
@@noaika5342 I don't want to spoil anything, but I would suggest following the quest line, you get a number of really excellent melees from there. As for whether guandao is good, it's decent, but it gets outscaled quickly: the only reason I use it is because I gave it extra mod slots with an orokin reactor at some point and I never use it otherwise.
ALSO, enemies that are affected by vitrify are debuffed and take increased dmg. Enemies that have had her 2 cast on them also take increased dmg. SO, you can vitrify them, press 2 on them, and then hit them with your weapon for ekscha ouchies. (not necessary but its a thing).

running both her 2 and 1 augment means every enemy affected counts toward your regen, making you effectively unkillable as long as you have decent health since now the whole map is affected by her 2. as well as her 2 being a damage multiplier on enemies in general which is very nice. honestly been loving the augment lately myself, but on its own yeah its not too great ill admit. kinda wish it did scale with her 2 stacks but idk how busted thatd be tbh lol
i do gotta try out the Nourish idea tho, i just run Dispensary on mine atm. didnt realize the damage buff counted towards statsticks ngl
So the new augment is basically just a troll, where the devs were like:
"Everyone and their grandma is going to go bananas over this, when they read this, just to see the their dreams get SHATTERED infront of their eyes once they try it out in simulacrum."

Gara is one of my fav frames
Her new augment isn't trash, when the enemies have splinter storm on them they also have a damage multiplier applied to them which scales with Gara's ability strength. This augment gives you an easy way to spread that multiplier to crowds of enemies, not to mention that this works through walls and can proc her passive to blind enemies.
For the 3 you could use citrins 1 to boost energy and health drops with arcane energy to give unlimited energy
ive had the most success using the fragor prime as a stat stick. something about starting with a higher combo count i think
Don't forget to use your 2 on your sentinel or cat or dog or robotics as well and even specters. It's hilarious when acolytes spawn near your whole splinter army they just die in an instant.
You can also easily nuke non steel path defense missions and speedrun them easily that way

I have always been fascinated with the concept of Gara, but never really knew how to play her. Thank you for this video. I now have a better understanding of her mechanics.
2 questions, if I may: Do Zaw arcanes affect her pseudo-exalted? The other questions is, seeing as I don't have Nourish, is Roar a viable option?

Run a gunblade to easily build to 12x so fast. The sacrifice in straight damage mods for attack speed/additional combo count more than makes up for it when you can get to 12x in like 3 seconds while standing in the same spot.
The augment also refreshes when you break another glass ring on enemies so it d9es the same building that you get at 100% instead of 50% so it builds quicker btw

She's been super strong before the change but the need to roll out of your 4 to get stacks made me not play her now knowing that's fixed I might play her a lot

yep splinter storm gives the enemies the opposite to you, so they get a damage (to them) buff, I've ran gara since she came out on plains with the stacking damage from 2, 4, 1. it hasn't changed just became easier to play.
i actually run the augment for the 3 as it drops energy when you kill enemies in it, rather than nourish, though the viral helps.
I only play gara and this build is somewhat right. puncture cost less but the slash from your 1 is a better build. Slash also does damage to the enemies it hits and hits more enemies than puncture also shattered storm has functionality in high levels when enemies are too strong to one shot making your attacks after they are affect by shattered storm stronger because it acts as a bane mod when enemies are affected meaning it doesn’t matter what you play all enemy type will have bane effects on them
Don't forget to use sentinel, buff em splinter storm to get double dmg. While you mass vatrify you refresh the splinter for sentinel too. I try to use kubrow and kavat they do 1 hit enemy but they keep running around when i try to mass vatrify to refresh splinter storm so just use sentinel.
so tested the rev augment and it does stack with reave once so you can give allies 6 mesmer skin stacks
Outside of not including the Lesion (100% Toxin Damage) as one of the good melee's for Gara overall, This is one of the more complete list of utility for her Kit. Here I as, thinking I was the only person running Out Of sight, Blood For energy , Blood for Life on my Parazon. Lest we forget if you get tired, You can use finishers to kill blinded enemies easily. Running Unairu against the Demolyst/Demolisher is fun.

Arcane Arachne, Arcane Fury, Arcane Primary Charger all work well. If you are into CCing enemies with your 4 at higher levels, Guardian, Ultimatum, Tanker are excellent.
Would you believe me If I said I spent like a year without playing WF and I was going outside the 4th's glass and not only that but hitting it with the glass whip instead of just pressing 1 on the inside until yesterday? Holy fuck.

The augment is to be tied with the other augment so that you can turn rooms of enemies into healing totems (but thats not even needed). sorry for so many comments in a row but theres like a lot of stuff that comes to mind while watching it and i dont like replying to myself and i dont like editing. SO SORRY JEESUS F.

The melee weapon does matter. Some melee weapons have implicit initial combo (fragor prime, furax wraith, etc...) Those will affect gara's shattered lash damage. This could save a mod slot if you want corrupt charge, or it could give you 4x combo by default with the fragor prime, or with a riven on the furax wraith with corrupt charge.
why do that when u can jsut build combo and keep it by meleeing every now and again
@@noahedenborg4221 because you won't be able to hit anything with melee. The enemies will die to splinter storm before you can hit them, and if you don't hit them you will not get any combo

Like, if you just kill all the enemies, you don't have to worry about blocking their bullets.

That ONE change to Gara's method of breaking her mass vitrify wall has just COMPLETELY changed the way you enjoy playing as her now. Oooof... this is the difference between Pablo at the helm and that other guy - I forget his name now - former dev (not Steve). Goes to show how much different the game will be if the Dev ACTUALLY played the fking game in any modicum of high level content.

If you use the gara two augment mod +200% strenght + adaptation you become imortal.
The mod its not shit if you know how to use it.
unfortunately there's a limit. immortal for base SP and under but that's pretty much it.

Recasting 4 will stop the expansion.. so if youre not using big range, then you really only need to roll once or take two or three steps in one direction and turn around. Range affects the initial size of her 4, duration affects expansion over time. So, even with smol range but big durations you can get a really good size vitrify.
If you want to troll your squad, play max range max duration gara on hydron and cast your 4 and let it expand throughout each wave, and freeze all the enemies in place before they can leave their spawn closets, and / or keep new spawns inside with the vitrify wall if you arent breaking it.
But do you build strong wals with her to protect you and Allies at high levels?! I use Magus Anomaly to get a bunch of enemies in and build millions of health on the wall. Stron enough to hold in Demolishers and Acolytes

PSA: Splinter Storms Stat Sticks grant *more damage with Corrupt Charge than Spoiled Strike* (only applicable in builds where you cannot use both i.e. Slot taken up by a Riven)

Conclusion
Corrupt Charge is better than Spoiled Strike for Gara in situations where one cannot use both, however the damage difference is negligible (

Really sad the augment doesnt do current total. Was hoping I'd be able to use a more regular fun melee instead of a stat stick by building combo and exploding for total ring dmg instead
Now if only they can rework Loki into a support frame, and make the Decoy absorb damage within its active duration then detonate... or make it like Wukong's clone as an Exalted

Question for the stat stick, since im not familiar with the zaw arcanes would there be any benefit in it being a zaw for the arcane slot or wouldnt any of the zaw arcanes have any effect on this?

My Gara stat stick = Jaw Sword + riven with melee damage, toxin and slash with a neg heavy attack efficiency. Combo counter not needed. 6 forma in Gara, 3 in my stick I get 276k from each lash. Easy work.
Can you please provide your gara build? I am running similar riven setup but with mire instead. And i get 70k only per lash. I don't believe that riven desposition 4 vs 5 makes 200k difference. I must be doing something wrong in the gara herself
Gara won't get that higher dmg than that just with stat sticks. With Helminth system can make her splinter dmg go higher even 500k dmg per lash.
@Random Random I got eclipse on her 3, if I built up a combo counter I'd get insane numbers per lash but I don't see the point of the combo because one lash on splinter storm is enough damage to make using a melee weapon for melee purposes useless, cant keep a combo count going when everything within 12m is already dead
@@georgew2432 nice, your right but you can use naramon school to make combo slowly deplete. But I prefer without using combo, eclipse really helpful to get splinter storm a million dmg. As a gara main.. I can say she really op for those who know how to use her. Even without helminth she still can survive and destroy steelpath. And if you want to double the dmg from splinter storm,just buff your sentinel with splinter storm, when you mass vatrify it will refresh your sentinel splinter storm too.

Does anyone know what the "back piece" with the shards coming out is? Only think I can think of is that it's on the Kaleida skin but is it also separate?
I think it's a syandana from her prime access
They're called Starglaze Shards. They come with Kaleida - even just the skin, you don't need the collection. If you want the Glistor Syandana, you have to buy the collection tho.

Why was next to no one aware that if you hit her vitrify a second time it stopped it growing & solidified her wall where it was? It was double tap 4 and walk 2 steps over to break, you didn't have to run to the outside of her 40m wall lol

I am mastery rank 17 and gara was my 3rd prime frame i leveled her up and never used her again is she worth building and worth putting a orokin catalyst on currently my 2 mains are volt prime and revenant prime

Should I be procing second ability splinter storm before breaking 4th ability to get the extra shards added to my splinter storm? I ask cause I'm wondering if I hit 2nd ability after breaking 4th ability will i get the extra shards added to splinter storm for extra damage still? Like I'm guessing I need to have my splinter storm proced and going before breaking 4th ability to get those extra shards and damage right?

press 4 make sure your 2 is active break 4 using 1 and repeat
