J.-B.Lully invented not only the Tragédie Lyrique, but also the sound mixture of string and flute instruments that is so characteristic for the French Baroque. This is the focus of this programme.
The unique combination of these instruments - recorders alongside violins - represented softness and gentleness, as opposed to the combination of oboes and violins, which made up the representative sound at court.
The concert programme "La Douceur - Der süße Klang" includes selected works from the French, German and Italian Baroque period, which express this sound aesthetic particularly well.
J.-B.Lully gilt nicht nur als Erfinder der Tragédie Lyrique, sondern auch der für den französischen Barock so charakteristischen Klangmischung von Streich- und Flöteninstrumenten, um die sich alles in diesem Programm dreht.
Die einzigartige Kombination dieser Instrumente - Blockflöten, die Violinen gegenübergestellt werden - standen für Weichheit und Sanftheit, im Gegensatz zu der Kombination von Oboen und Violinen, die den repräsentativen Klang am Hof darstellten.
Ausgewählte Werke des französischen, deutschen und italienischen Barock, die diese Klangästhetik besonders gut zum Vorschein bringen, bilden das Konzertprogramm "La Douceur - Der süße Klang".
