I do remember this video. Good then and good now. Yes, they weren’t on my radar then, so thanks for the introduction. Definitely professional grade sailing tools.
I enjoyed the re-review on this knife Tobias. It really is a cool set, everything you need on a ship. Good quality materials and i see why it's state issued; very decent made to last a long time of service. Lifetime warranty tells you how much confidence the maker has in the product. Thank you very much Tobias.
I'm glad you showed this knife today, naval/sailor knives don't get much love in the community so it's really nice to see you showcasing one today. I'm also glad you mentioned Grohmann's Yachtsman knife, as people really only know them for the Canadian Belt knife, but they make many other designs both in stainless and carbon steel. Thanks for this very informative video and Cheers!
I have the A200 Myerchin Marine Classics in white scales ( I think Micarta, but looks awfully smooth) with spike. 440 Japan, sheepfoot-ish serrated for all but the last inch or so towards the point. I HAVE used the spike several times to undo ape-tight cord and leather thong knots. The spike is wonderfully made and has to be held in the hand to do it justice! Owned it for well over a decade and , naturally, never used the actual knife on anything, but who knows, I might be Shanghai'ed onto a square rigger next week.... Thanks for the lanyard tip too! I have para-cord (3 or 4mm) on mine.
Very nice mariners knife & spike, probably the best looking set for looks and function. I've never used this setup but from what I've seen out there it would be my choice too. Thanks for a good review Tobias.
Thanks for this video the knife looks real solid. Ive kept the RR Marlin Spike in my truck for a few years now. It really comes in handy for the Boy Scouts when on camping trips.
Great video ….best on RUclips regards this tool set…..Even after chatting with Myerchin UK online, it was your video that convinced me to order one.👍 Subscribed!
Thanks for the kind words. Sorry I'm getting back so late. I really like Myerchin. The fact that you have sailors making knives for sailors definitely adds something to the design and usefulness.
Very cool. I have a Vangedal with a marlin spike. Kind of "The knife to get" here in Denmark. I want a folding knife and have been looking at the one from Myerchin for ages 😅
Thanks for showing us the knife set and the cool way to wrap the lanyard cord around your hand. I always learn something new from your videos.

Thanks for revisiting this one, it looks like a great carry for anyone on the water! Cheers, buddy!

If Quint had one of those, he'd have been in Jaws II.
