      It depends on the watch and the collector's preference. In modern, yes, but in vintage, not so much!

    Super important to buy a watch with box and papers especially if you are paying cash, i know a case where the seller kept the box and papers later claimed the watch was stolen from him.

      Simple solution... don't buy a watch in cash and make a note of the transaction... simple as that

    Second hand market, you buy the seller not the item.

    How do you check for fakes or franken parts? I noticed you spend a lot of time in places like Hong Kong and visit vintage dealers that are stocked to the roof with with Rolexes and other brands that go for 4-5K a piece. Those watches are decades old. How do you know they are always honest and that you're getting the real deal?

      Honestly asking the right questions. It's so difficult to do a through due diligence nowadays
