Complete with full sound effects.. haha. I thought I was the only one who was a "verbal" rider - grunt's, hollers, etc. Good video B. I'm staying at Everstoke for a night next week. Can't wait to check it out.
I live in Wisconsin. Been following Brian for years now. My son moved to Southern California and when we visit there he takes me well out of my comfort zone! Always enjoy your videos Brian!!!
You inspired me to go and ride Slick Rock back in 2017 Brian. And now you’ve inspired me once again! This trail looks so fun. Beautiful scenery and a great cardio workout- keep you on to toes.
Agree with you about Secret Trail. Best route for me is a lollipop figure eight: Windmill, Practice, South Rim, Hidden Canyon, North Rim, Yellow, Gooseberry Point, South Rim, Hidden Canyon (again), North Rim, Bowls and Ledges, Windmill.
+1 for the figure 8 but I start at south rim and do that first with fresh legs. Hidden Canyon is a gem worth doing twice in the middle. I actually got the idea of doing the figure 8 25 years ago from one of the Harris twins that built the trail. Great video, this is my all-time fav trail.
I would usually go practice, bowls, north rim to the point, south rim, HC, bowls, practice, back to the trailhead. And really, HC is the jewel of the lot.
Gooseberry is great. As someone else said, add in Windmill. Hidden Canyon and Gander are fun too. You should do Secret Trail at least once (you won't find it unless you look for it). It is very fun, just very long and it will wear you out. Wire Mesa next door is great (and easier) but Gooseberry is the King. This type of riding will make you tired.
My friend Debbie and I may have been among the very first to ride Goosberry in 1986. No trails, just a serious bushwack to get to the rim. There were only about a half dozen mountain bikes in St. George back then.
Rode there once a few years back. Fun to try a few different lines. A lot of punchy stuff out there. I actually got lost on South, lost the white dots and luckily found some Red? but followed them and eventually got back to the parking lot. I missed some of the last few sections. It's amazing how on paper it looks easy....ha, until you ride it. Awesome job as usual....Cheers.
We found the loop really tough (I think I would have enjoyed it more on the eeb) but a great ride. Very different from here in Scotland. managed to break a spoke but the team at Over The Edge Hurricane were first class and our road trip continued 🙂
thanks brian. my group and i are overlanding and riding our mtbs this weekend in gooseberry. i rode here two years ago. anything new there that we should look out for? thanks again!
I got a trial of the LMNT sparkling water before it was out (guess I buy enough) and while I normally don't like sparkling water....it's was awesome! Loved the black cherry lime best.
Watched while cooking chicken, I drove down the utv road beside the road a lot smoother. Gooseberry was fun but not the place to go when one hasn't riding mtb for 3 years and the brakes don't work, I had more fun at Jem trails but no brakes put a stop to my fun 😅
I went into secret trail by mistake (my phone died when I left trailfotk screen on, first time using quad lock) and first time ever 18yrs mtbing, I got panic. No water, no map, out of gas..I would never forget that😂 in March 24
All the classics at Gooseberry are terrific. And I've done Secret a few times. If you do it, it's bit of a haul so bring the snacks and fluids because if you bonk halfway into it, you're on a slow death march until you merge back into the famous trails. It's biggest drawback is it's connected to one of the greatest trails of all time. But put this trail somewhere else, where it stands alone, and it's a great ride.
Gooseberry has the best ratings and makes all the "best in the world" lists. I think I've ridden all the other ones, but I can't remember, and when I can't remember a trail it's not a good endorsement.
If you dont want to kill yourself, Wire Mesa is amazing and a good warm up is Jem Trail. Quail Creek reservoir has some fun trails as well if killing yourself on Gooseberry isnt your thing. Always surrounded by beauty on all the trails
Your videos never get old. Thanks for consistently putting out such great content BK 👊
Glad to hear that!
The ultimate "Butt Puckering" vdeo for those who hate heights! So very cool Brian, thanks for taking me on my virtual ride.
Glad you enjoyed it!!

Fantastic! I will most likely be around, we'll see!

Fantastic!! Love to hear it
Love the South and North rim. So so good.
Been here 6 years ago and remember as it’s been yesterday. So good 😊
Most definitely!!

The last time you rode this.. was the video that got me into Mountain Biking . Thanks so much Mr Kennedy 👊👊.
Awesome!
That's so cool to hear Jason!!
@@bkxc changed my life !
I liked this video so much. The trail is a great inspiration to ride some day! God bless you, Bro!
It is a treat!! I was so lucky to have lived in the St. George area for the past 10 years.
That's awesome!
the Gauntlet of narrow rock trail and observing MTB riders at the 14:30 min mark had me at the edge of my chair, Spectacular Brian!
That section is so cool! It popped up out of nowhere!
Looks like you had the perfect day with awesome riding and weather. I got vertigo just watching you two ride close to the edge, not even joking.
Haha, I believe it!!
Love that you actually show your dabs, many would edit that out. Great video as always!
Haha, plenty of mistakes!
More like Goosebumps, so beautiful!
My second most favorite ride anywhere! I really, really need to get back there. Thanks for bringing it back to me and my easy chair. 👍
Yes! It's a great one

My absolute favorite place to ride! GoPro effect really flattens out how punchy many of those sections really are.
Most definitely! So many tough ups and odwns

That is just too cool!!
@@bkxc when you saw fresh tracks on the trail you could tell who it was because you knew what tires everyone had!
Awesome skills!
Beautiful scenery!!!
I haven't heard you breathing that hard in a long time! "Mesa's always beat me up" - sooo true!
The ups and downs!!
Rode this in November; this was one of the most unique and fun trails I’ve ever ridden
Great video
So good!!
I had so much fun on Gooseberry, thanks for sharing!
Awesome!! Love to hear that Gab

Hahaha exactly! The map is not the terrain!!
Every time you ride up to the cliff and don't say "I'm going for it!", an angel loses it's wings.
Hahaha!
Will be there in a month!
Nice!!
I heard the climb at 10:55 is legendary.
Hahah yep, looks like nothing on camera!
We found the loop really tough (I think I would have enjoyed it more on the eeb) but a great ride. Very different from here in Scotland. managed to break a spoke but the team at Over The Edge Hurricane were first class and our road trip continued 🙂
Oh man, I believe that!! Rough and tumble!
That looks amazing! I totally agree, I would much rather do a spicy 8 mi ride than 20 mi on a boring fire road.
Big time!
Like up and down tech stuff too! A fun way to get HIT training for sure!
Exactly! Constant engagement!
These trails look like they'd be a lot of fun on an ebike
Those people out on the trail are so lucky you were there
Haha, I don't think they were very impressed!
Great e-bike trail
thanks brian. my group and i are overlanding and riding our mtbs this weekend in gooseberry. i rode here two years ago. anything new there that we should look out for? thanks again!
That's awesome!! Stick to North and South Rim, it's a fun one!~
I got a trial of the LMNT sparkling water before it was out (guess I buy enough) and while I normally don't like sparkling water....it's was awesome! Loved the black cherry lime best.
I agree! I just had the Black Cherry Lime today and really enjoyed it. They're on to something!
Do you think the Ripmo would have been better suited for all the punchy climbs?
Yup!!
VERY COOL THANKS !

Hahaha, oh my!!
Gooseberry by and by nature? I think I’d enjoy on a strong day.
Yep, it's a great one!
Road revenant this morning should get out there.
Nice!!
Little Creek…Next!
Wish I could’ve been there with you to guide you through hidden canyon. Best trail on the Mesa IMO. Harris Secret is second best.
Man, makes it tough to turn the ride into a loop if you add in Hidden Canyon!
I went into secret trail by mistake (my phone died when I left trailfotk screen on, first time using quad lock) and first time ever 18yrs mtbing, I got panic. No water, no map, out of gas..I would never forget that😂 in March 24
Did you make it out or are still there?)
Oh man!!

I think you're right!
Curious why you chose Gooseberry and not Little Wild Creek?
Gooseberry has the best ratings and makes all the "best in the world" lists. I think I've ridden all the other ones, but I can't remember, and when I can't remember a trail it's not a good endorsement.
The way BK is avoiding dirt and ponds clearly seen lol :) i hate that too.
Hahaha, splish splash on the camera!
Have I just spotted you front row in the latest Kill Tony??
Yup!
@@bkxc No way lol! You caught an amazing show. Spotted that smile from a mile at around 10:08
Soo amazing trial
Great video
Thanks!! Hope you get to ride it!
@BKXC What type of mount do you use for your go pro when you ride?
I believe it's a chest mount
Yup, chest mount: bkxc.bike/camera-gear
@@bkxc thank you!
Whats the size of your bike?
This looks like the same trail that Seth took Matt on, correct?
Yes.
Now I know why you laugh, You're like the devil who says, "You can't scare me, I laugh in you're face!."
Till Edge do Us part 😮
If you dont want to kill yourself, Wire Mesa is amazing and a good warm up is Jem Trail. Quail Creek reservoir has some fun trails as well if killing yourself on Gooseberry isnt your thing. Always surrounded by beauty on all the trails

Only for extreme gooses!
🦆🦆🦆
future reference for the people visiting lol (i learned the hard way) its not ZI ON. its Zi IN
obviously
These Utah rock rides look like one continuous ‘bad section’.
Disagree!!
Reminds me of Half-Life
Yes!
Everything without E ⚡ amazing!!!!! . I hate this E MTB madness!!!!
Haha, it's not for everyone!
Terrifying !
Have to disagree. Mesa riding and desert riding in general is the best IMO if you like technical terrain.
Frustrating techy bits are opportunities for improvement.
This too punchy for me. XD
Yeah, you definitely get punched on this one!
Please give me a bycycle please
