You're looking for Pioneer Spirits if you were a fairies player
Unfortunately, Spirits lose against everything except mono green, which is the #1 deck.
Good to see that despite all the flooding, screwing, and mono-redding you managed to soldier on.

I have an alt account I play on my phone. Whenever I play after watching a bunch of RUclips, I find myself trying to fast forward through my opponents turns 😂

I was playing the 3rd blue/white deck. Just wanted to respond to a couple of the points. I actually didn't have a second White Sun's in the deck to get with Invasion. I can definitely see how the double Mirrex activation may have been a better choice over flashing back Deluge, but i was only holding land at that point. Either way, pretty sure I'd have been smoked if you had drawn a few lands. Love the deck and the videos ❤

I really enjoy the control player mindset you bring to aggressive decks. I not only climb but enjoy playing the mono Red deck you made a while back. It has a clear goal yet has enough plays to keep me engaged in the game.

Real question, has anyone here ever roped? I've never done it myself but I feel like every 3rd or 4th player ropes me out when they lose.

I like decks that can swiss army knife their spells to suit different situations so I am for sure picking this up....but probably in paper xD I'm in a control and combo heavy LGS so this seems like it could restore my fun without eating into my Commander resources much.

Played with this deck for a few hours today, its really good. The only bad match up I've ran into is selesnya enchantments... its REALLY bad XD It also struggles with not having good removal in certain spots. Lots of two for one solutions or just stalls. I found I like to run two archangel Elspeth's as well. Soldier tokens she makes fit right in and have good incidental lifelink, pluss she buffs harder for the same mana. Cut either a fading hope and an emperor or fading hope and a land. Good build, flash soldiers is fun. Watching people scoop to the Harbin after you've carefully wrestled the opponent into the perfect spot is pure soulfood.
I played five or six games vs mono white soldiers or the mirror and won all but one of them. The match I lost was still close. Control decks and go big decks like atraxa also have a real hard time with this list as long as you have some draw engines and save your counterspells for the right target. Mono-red also isn't hard for the list to deal with, I had a good win-rate vs mono-red.
So, what can be done in best of one against enchantments?? I probably had a 25% win rate vs the selesnya enchantment piles. Honestly, I'm thinking about maybe running two depopulates lol. Not bad for slow hands, the list can also just play around it.
Is this just UW Rogues in current standard? Feels like it plays the tempo game the same way...i.e. basically everything at flash speed
This is one of the reasons why I like CGB. He doesn't just dislike mono-red; he dislikes mono-red's ethos. He doesn't just play control; he actually thinks when playing magic.
There will always be players who just play their cards out from a netdeck and depend on luck as to whether they win or get boardwiped... but I'm glad we have players like CGB to show them how someone who actually likes playing Magic does it.

I read an article on reddit, well I read the TL;DR, about an investigation into the shuffler. They had analyzed about 1 million games apparently, and according to the TL;DR from a comment it said that if you keep a hand with 2 lands you're very likely to be mana screwed, and if you keep a hand with 4+ lands you're very likely to be mana flooded. This is supposedly because of how the shuffler groups lands and cards together. This article is a few years old now however.
But, from my limited experience, of my own games, and watching youtubers like yourself, there seems to be something to this.
Apparently if you mulligan once, it can fix the shuffle. And I assume that if you play a card early that forces a reshuffle of the deck it might fix it as well.
I don't know if there is any truth to it. But just from how so often you get multiple copies of the same card close together and from what I've seen the mana screw and mana flood seems to follow the trend of keeping 2 vs 4 lands.
So the sweet spot should be keeping a 3 land starting hand.
The thing is I don't know if there is any truth to this. But even if there isn't. Even a perfectly random shuffled deck can often struggle to draw lands in time. Just from the statistics alone. I mean even with 27 lands and starting with a 2 land hand it's only 47% chance that it's going to be a land on the first draw. Followed by 48%, then 49%. So you only have to miss two or three coin flips to be completely screwed.

Elspeths smite seems a smidge better for some matchups. 4 fading hope is a lot of fading hope.
I would agree that you could run both but I think he partly runs it for the scry and ability to bounce your own creatures like both Flash creatures with ETBs
For whatever reason this deck makes me think of "Never Gonna Stop" by Rob Zombie.
Love the content. As a new player, it's great seeing you play a different deck every day. Which one would recommend a newish player use to climb the ladder? I have 12 rare, 12 mythic wildcards, and am looking for something upgradable. Only current deck is budget mono blue.
Its rly hard atm to find deck with better than 62% real winrate, i would suggest playing alchemy (becouse there is easier), achive 58% winrate and grind cards at events
I think rats in historic brawl is the best bang for your buck
@@43Polomalu Historic brawl may be rly cheap but without playing events its hard to fast grind cards. Gathering all lord of the rings cards took me 37 days without buying single pack. Deck video is at my channel but commentary in polish
Mono blue tempo is very good if you are low on wildcards - no rares spent on manabase helps a lot.

Haven’t seen Esper Legends in a while, either from you or your opponents. I’d like to see that deck again, maybe with comments about why it’s fallen off in the Bo1 meta.

Boomers and older are just wrong! The world wasn't "better" 60 years ago. CGB works very hard at what he does and has become very successful at it AND he actually gets to enjoy it on a very regular basis (daily? multiple times per day?). Not true on the automotive assembly line or down in the coal mines.
Tried this in Silver (haven’t opened arena in months) and immediately lost every game to mono black due to oops all removal + Sheoldred.

Does anyone know why did he target his own creature with soul partition at 26:06? He doesn't have mana to cast it for the augmented cost, so it's not like it would work as a blocker.

These missed lands on the play are beyond comprehension. Playing a 3 mana or less permanents deck and always having 2 of the 3 big pay off cards in my first and second hands is also pretty annoying.
Arena shuffler up to it's antics again. I really fucking hate that I cannot build a deck in arena like I would in paper...

People roping is one of the many reasons i don't play ranked. These subhumans think they can waste your time just because theirs is pointless and insignificant.
