This is one of the most exceptional videos I have seen on you tube. For this man to have been filmed in 1923 he must have been at the very top of his craft. The detail of the cutting technique is great and different to many current spoon makers, particularly with the pivoting cuts with the crook knife where many these days use a rolling cut that is much slower. @labrat7357 I thought that was a Crook knife he was using. Thanks for confirming it. I think I saw Ray Mears using just such a knife in one of his videos. Now I need to make one or find somewhere that I can purchase one. That old gentleman sure had talent !
