It depressed me a little that you consider a 2003 PC ‘ancient’ 😕 Lord of the Rings came out that year ffs! Anyway, I think a sleeper build would be dope in that case. I did an upgrade on one of these, the motherboard crapped, but that 1000w PSU they installed in it was intense. I installed everything new on an 1156 platform

remove all and make alienware big again
SLEEPER PC ANYONE?
i had a boot loop with my pc i needed to do a bios update thats all
everyone needs to like this
Knew how old that was as soon as I saw it... Man those things were overpriced back then - but inescapably cool anyway. That was when Alienware was it's own company, I think. They put huge plastic chunks on top of Antec Dragon cases or something like that; insides and components are super duper similar.
Motherboard needs bios update. Probably never been updated since bought brand new.
Many fixes and patches with xp conflicting with ram operation, and other hardware associated with the motherboard. Call me crazy,
But the Pentium processor could be facing cooling issues because of old thermal paste on the heat sink.
boi that case is shinier than my future
Embrace the Darkness
LED back then, car shaped cases!
The Future, now? ugly square acrylic shinny glass boxed, on controllable RGB! the future is PS4 onboard graphics, cloud gaming! NOT this case......
you should modernize it :]
I actually ended up buying a similar case for my current gaming PC when I was building. It was $180 in a bid but I wanted it anyway because it looks so damn cool.
I bet the seller loved it!
B Hew hahah I bet he didnt
FYI that soundcard may be old but its still one of the best sound cards of all time, the sound is amazing, especially if you compare with an onboard $5 sound chip
These specs still sound amazing to me even though I know they're not. xD I'm old.
What are you doing with an air conditioner
Bahahaha
U should give it to me and I’ll play some 🥔 games
5:06 I spy a lil RandomGamingHD man ;)
Build a i9 beast but from aliexpress.com using asus motherboard with the rtx2080 graphics card on a budget but all components from Ali ... please
It depressed me a little that you consider a 2003 PC ‘ancient’ 😕 Lord of the Rings came out that year ffs!
Anyway, I think a sleeper build would be dope in that case. A WC loop would (unfortunately) mean heavily modifying the case. Instead I’d look to pick up something like a 4790k and a gtx980 (both of which I happen to be selling cheap).
Regardless, I’d build it all from second hand parts you can find online, with an aim to make maximum profit.
Well for a PC its old. 16 years ago
put a modern system into the case as you said, but repaint it and try customize it somewhat!
I remember this computer being in The Sims 3 in green, and it was the coolest you could buy in game haha
you mean something like this? pcpartpicker.com/b/TPbj4D
Ahh I have the I believe later 2009 version of that Alienware Area 51 but I can't tell you that 2009 is the most certain year but ah the case is practically that same
(Edit)
The Alienware 51 ALX
Last week I helped a friend who was moving.
I carried a Fujitsu Celsius m460... ~18 kg......... or 2,83451 stone for you british people 😄
I legit thought this was Wraith’s voidwalker helmet from apex legends!
Is it just me who thought this?
I wanted that as a child. I was a fool.
X45 I mean, it's not bad to want a gimmicky case, since they go out of their way to make them look cool. it really would appeal to young people because of that. I can't remember which Alienware pc I wanted, but the case was the entire draw.
Make a video. which is shorter than 10 minutes.
Or which is longer, because of *other* reasons rather than filling the gap to get more revenue.
I remember entering a mail in give away for this model that was green from the box of Final Fantasy XI. I really wanted this model back then lol. 512gb in 2006 was crazy, I remember losing it in 2009 when I got a 1gb card.
I did an upgrade on one of these, the motherboard crapped, but that 1000w PSU they installed in it was intense. I installed everything new on an 1156 platform
You really should put a disclaimer that says "results may vary a fuck ton" because of how lucky you get with shit smh
I own one of these. I replaced the graphics card and power supply about 6 years ago, the motherboard, CPU and Memory about 2 years ago. I am running Windows 8.1 on it and it works fine, and I am watching this video on it now.
I do want to update the graphic card again soon. Taking it to the local computer store does attract a lot of people who want a closer look at it, a real conversation piece.
I hope that case has been resprayed at some point in its life because for the retail price of these back in the day i would have shit myself if it arrived with that poor of a finish
AGP grapichs cards, I used them before 3-4 years ago, also had sapphire I think 1650 or 1950 x pro something like that, played a lots of games, Age of Empires 3 etc
I love the old vinyl graphics on the side of those old ATi cards... it was so cool and unique.. I wish GPU manufacturers still did stuff like that :/
I know its a shame XP browser support is gone also. I believe the only one that kind of supported it to the end was FireFox.
I remember if you went to Alienware.com you could get a pamphlet in the mail in like 8 weeks that came with a huge poster of a random high tier model. Needless to say I still have this poster.
I've got some agp cards that'll match up very well with this Alienware tower!
It looks like a bus modified for racing but it made in 1990's.
I remember being 10 years old and really wanting an alien ware. Why do I feel like the name is a joke now
You have a diesel vehicle??? What is it?? I love any truck or car that runs on diesel 😍
Its basicly the same as an old dell, with same ram and proccessor, for 20 dollars
Should have been sold for £51

3:20 Total rubbish! Sound cards are still a quality purchase and upgrade. Stop being a twonky nit!
word brother! and this particular card is legendary
I saw one of these in an episode of the Big Bang theory it was blue and I don’t know what it was
Sleeper builds are best.

Also throw it off of beachy Head as you have suggested! /s
*in soviet Russia pc cleans its self*
should be pretty good when raiding area 51 i imagine
I remember my friend having one of these in his dorm and how envious I was. In hindsight I guess I ended up the winner however, because Alienware products are very poor value for money.
you can buy cheap adapters
