    5:54 Why the base is not at 5000 ft? If OAT is 16 and DP is 1, that means the difference equals 15. If it goes with DALR which is 3/1000ft, shouldn't be like this, i.e. 15/3 = 5 which means 5000 ft of cloud base?

    • @atplclass
      @atplclass  7 месяцев назад +1

      the dew point is at 4 degrees so the temperature only needs to reduce by 12 degrees so the DALR of 3/1000ft means that we get a cloud base at 4000ft

    Where are you located? Wondering because Transport Canada has other numbers, for example mid level clouds 6,500ft to 20,000ft. They have a different way to calculate cloud heights too. Why can't they agree on all the same stuff 😭😭🤦 clouds are international, they don't change depending on the country they're in. Amazing job btw, thank you for all your videos!

    • @atplclass
      @atplclass  2 года назад +2

      I'm in the UK. If you have found information that is different to mine for the country you will be sitting the exams in, then use that information. Local rules and information for this kind of thing should take priority as the exam will be slightly different depending on what country you are in.

    Can we have a clarification on sublimation and deposition? The deposition process was overlooked in the humidity video and again at the start of this one.

      I would estimate 16 videos total, but sometimes when I start to record and edit I realise I can combine some together or that I should split a video into smaller parts.

      It can extend to mid level, and it's different from stratus cause it's raining..for exam purposes Stratus it's not raining (if they show you a picture)

    More effective than ground school instructors with tons of experience yet can't teach shit, especially the dictator of a ground school in one of the HK airlines.
