I wouldn’t call it a protective style because I did a silk press and the layering of products. This style typically last up to a week! It’s more for like special occasions like weddings, birthdays, etc

The pony tails of old still exist. I'm in my 50s and for as long as I can remember people usually put in extra effort for weddings,other special occasions or dance comps, ect. If this was supposed to be a video showing a basic ponytail then it would be titled "basic ponytail" and everyone would be wondering why anyone went to the effort of making a video of something so boring.

Style is beautiful but over kill on amount of product on scalp and hair ..careful that can cause hair thinning and skin irritation due to pores inability to breathe. Don't clog pores
I’m not sure if you’ve ever seen or had a sleek pony tail before but that amount of product is not over kill. It’s actually normal for that type of look. Especially if you are natural. The beeswax she is putting on the hair allows it stick and lay down properly, ensuring there are no bumps and lumps. Her hair will be fine as long as this is not a hairstyle she does all the time or is getting back to back.

We did hella ponytails in the 90. Also waves and other sculpted hair styles. Look at the ingredients in that spray alone. Health of hair and client is sacrificed with chemical styling. Not just the relaxer the other products as well.

But why are you putting glue in the hair that can be so damaged and dangerous to the hair and skin. Why not hair spray or hair gel? Those hold hair just as good.
