After Day 1 in Zambia didn't produce the Lion Mark was looking for he is set up perfect for Day 2. The machan is built, and after harvesting a giant Kudu, the bait is re-set and Mark and Guide Jason settle in for a long sit. After sitting in the machan for a couple house a call is received that the Lion they are after is in a field with a lioness. The stalk is on. Can Mark score on a giant old lion?

@@aricornejo nah I don’t believe in psychic powers even if you do. Do a bit of research and you’ll find the same reasons recycled for killing lions. The balance of natural and natural selection works fine and has done for millennia without the ‘helpful’ hand of humans shooting them. It is telling that they will always find enough ‘problem lions’ to match the number of hunters willing to pay top dollar to kill them. Hi, Zambian here. Wouldn't be incredibly accurate to say "tribe people" in reference to the individuals you see in the vid. A spotted a few ZAWA officers (effectively game rangers, they have a very distinct uniform) and I'm assuming the rest of the people you saw were employees of the game lodge that the hunter was working with. The little song they are singing is actually to the tune and partial lyrics of a famous football chant. "Chipolopolo" means bullet. They are basically singing, praising Mark and his bullet. Awesome token for his great shooting!

It was all given as food to the local village to use, and for families to eat. Nothing gets wasted in Africa.

You don't have to lie, thats a very young lion. Not even in its prime yet.
FYI, manes don't mean shit in the context of age. What you're supposed to be looking for is a pronounced 'roman nose,' a large head and body, along with scars and possibly a fully black nose, depending on the genetics of the area. This lion checked all the boxes. FFS, even all of its teeth are worn and bright yellow as shown in the video, and that to you qualifies as a young lion?
The lion you're thinking of is only found in a few gene pools. This comment section is overrun with mouth breathers.

Bro I love animals and I love lions, so can you just stop hunting animals because animals are becoming an endangered species for all probably soon because people keep hunting things they keep hunting animals and some are going to and if we don’t have animals anymore then we won’t be able to have food or meat for people
I firmly believe that if the animal has a financial value for the community, they will be better off long term. Allowing hunting for animals like lions (and I mean wild lions in Africa) does that. If the lion has a value, it will be maintained and looked after. Like so many species around the world, the threat is not a controlled hunting approach. It is habitat changes and encroachment by humans.

I’m the same way. That lion is way to young. 7-8 year old is a good mature lion. And he shot it at like 150-200 yards. When we hunt lion we only hunt them 50 yards or closer.
