This Canon is way better than any point and shoot, had mine a couple of years, I liken it to a mini DSLR. I love using it, The picture quality is exceptionally good. Great Canon colour science on board. Oh and don't use Alkaline batteries, use a branded rechargeable, like Eneloop (they last way longer). And remember there is a small watch battery (CR1220) stored in the side of the camera, under a rubber cover, this preserves the date, when you take the batteries out. By the way its SX120 not ZX120, just say'in.

Is it good for macro photos ? Flowers , bugs , or zooming birds ?
How is it so far?
I Own this camera, it is very good and easy to use I always use full manual mode, but dont use ISO above 100, it gets blury above that. I use GP Recyko batteries they are very good and rechargable. The Macro function is very good and good zoom. The big screen is a big plus! The menu's are very easy to use. If u check my videos u can see the video and sound quality (note: not the PHOTO quality).
