Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (Covid-19) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans. (source: World Health Organization)

Infectious disease experts and multiple international and domestic human and animal health organizations (CDC, OIE, WHO) agree there is no evidence at this point to indicate that pets can spread COVID-19 to other animals, including people.
Although there have not been reports of pets becoming sick with COVID-19, out of an abundance of caution, it is recommended that those ill with COVID-19 limit contact with animals until more information is known about the virus.

Why am I seeing a lot of videos stating that it can NOT pass between animals and humans with their comments off?

Maybe because people are trying to control fears. I look at it from the stand point of being cautious. Happy to Help

I don’t have the money for a vet but my dogs face is so swollen you can’t even recognize her and she is barely eating + she has 5 fifteen day old puppies and I can’t take her cause I have corona
My dog has been coughing anbd struggling to breath 😓 he is the most sociable puppy in the works and hS been going up to every dog man woman and child and he is cute that everyone has been stroking him 😢poor thing. P. S. I think he is a similar breed to the one in the video.
If you have puppy that is coughing it is very unlikely that he has covid. More likely that he has has kennel
@@DrLera thank you ❤️ he is now on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory mess and his cough is getting a bit better. I really appreciate your reply as I feel assured we are doing the right thing for him.
