- Welcome to the ultimate Pathfinder: Kingmaker gameplay guide as we cover which class you should play through this CRPG by Owlcat Games. This is the best character creation guide for new players to Pathfinder: Kingmaker, drawing from the vast selection of classes from the Pathfinder 2nd edition tabletop ruleset and setting.
One of the things I love about Pathfinder is the advanced component to character creation, and the ruleset over all. There are some really unique sub-classes here in Kingmaker, allowing you to really dive deep into the meta of the game if you want to!

There is something worth noting about sorcerers vs wizards. Most sorcerers in pathfinder used charisma. The use of charisma means you can have some of the highest possible persuasion in the game. As a king/queen. (Or any other type of monarch). It makes the most sense to be among the best at telling your subjects what you need to and have them do as you say
if you need the meta, yep
Aldori Defender when build properly is also a great tank because of his high AC although he doesn´t wear armour (in this behalf he is kinda similar to a Monk when you go with the crane style route) + deals lots of damage with his dueling sword...
Also worth to mention - for beginners - is to choose a class which provides a pet.because pets are pretty powerful for both as tank and as damage dealer and therefore a big help, especially in the early game...the smilodon for instance I would even consider as a bit overpowered.
Pet classes FTW
I did two full runs through this game and I second this. Other positive aspects of animal companions:
1. You can cast spells like Bulls Strength and Mage Armor on them for value. Many such spells often don't have a good target because the buffs don't stack with magic items like belts and rings etc that buff the same stat.
2. Animal companions generally have high strength and that strength adds to the party's total weight carrying capacity. As such once your Smilodon gets the size increase at level 8 , you don't need a Bag of Holding, because your weight cap will be huge.
3. Every party member and animal companion gets a separate roll to notice traps and hidden treasure. This allows a team to get like 7 Perception check rolls for every hidden thing, which is very helpful .
It's Pathfinder first edition, not second edition

Very useful, I’ve been lost and never knew what class I wanted even after I started the game. Thanks a lot ❤
Glad I could help!
Viz your comments on the cleric. I would say that the base cleric is actually relatively balanced for combat, survivability, and healing. In terms of being just a straight healer the Ecclesithurge is, I think, an even healier healer. The loss of armor is offset by slightly more spellcharges and a difference in domains, which I don't fully understand. But it also gets a skill fairlt early on that adds a significant bonus to the amount of hp it heals with healing spells. The cleric is your D&D style healer, the Ecclesithurge is your Final Fantasy style white mage.
groovy :)
can someone help me? for some reason that i dont know my monk dont make the multi atack anymore.
no idea there
@@Renfail i found the problem i put it an armor.
Great vid, sub up 🤘
Indeed!
Could Rogue Knife Master be played like a Fremen from Dune
I suppose if you want
PF first edition is the best one. PF 2e looks very much like DnD 4e...
Chirugen is pronounced, Ki Ur Jen.
uh
@@RenfailJust seeing the comment now. Chirurgeon is basically an archaic word for the equivalent of a medieval field medic. It is actually where we get the modern word surgeon from.
Thank you Renfail.
Cheers!
Scion is pronounced Sy-on not sky-on
To each their own
@@Renfail to each according to his need from each according to his ability, Liked your video thank you
