    Do yourself a favor and train proper bojutsu. Just as all modern budo, this is a watered-down version that I doubt was ever used on the battlefield. Learn bojutsu from a proper Katchu bujutsu and it will actually be effective. You never swing the staff while standing in place. This is not real battlefield footwork. Incorrect use of ma'ai and tai sabaki.

    Sensei, please do some more of these videos where you explain these small but important details on different ways of getting power and speed in to the techniques as well as how to move between stances etc. 🥋

    Great! Interesting. Finaly got to hear about your trip. The bo is my favorite, ive been doing more bo lately at my school than the chux, that always was my favorite. Thanks for your videos i find them very enjoyable.

    Fun fact bojutsu began in the early 17th century in Japan

      Wrong. The samurai and warrior monks in Japan have had bojutsu since at least 900AD. And most likely bojutsu was developed in China around 700AD or earlier. Staff fighting is one of the oldest weapon forms on earth dating back thousands of years.
