Multiple defensive TDs, 93 yard touchdown run, scoring the game winner with 10 seconds to go. Can't go wrong picking any of those, MAN what a game 🔥👍🏈

Felt like an EA College Football 25 game. Up 17 in the fourth quarter only to give up 21 points, including a 93 yard run to lose. And your offense decides to miss 2 field goals and have a massive drop on a wide open pass on 3rd down with 2 minutes left

In defense of New Mexico, this is one of the more powerhouses of the FCS that I'd wish would move up to the Mountain West
Montana State were actually -13.5 favorites in this game. Biggest FCS over FBS favorite ever
Delaware (already doing it), Villanova, New Hampshire, Richmond, Furman, Grambling, Tarleton, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, South Dakota, Sacramento State, Eastern Washington, Montana, Montana State, SE Missouri State, Samford should all move up.

I think he’s saying it appears as if it’s going one way but it is also going another which is why it went against the wind. The top of the ball was going against it and the bottom was going with it

That's not necessarily true. Brother, the only difference between the Montana teams and Power 5 guys is the depth. Same thing with New Mexico. These teams can play with anyone, they just don't have the personnel. Thos is the reason a lot of your power5 guys don't schedule these teams. They get no points for beating them but these teams will.snek up on you. Montana is just well coached.
This was Week 0 and the first game, but both of those teams should have waited until Week 1 for this game as both looked like they needed another week of practice. This was ugly & both teams looked like a hot mess. New Mexico's run defense is disgracefully pathetic, a high school team could run for over 250 yards.
This was a great game. New Mexico had their chances, but missed too many FGs and dropped too many passes in the end. Amazing job by Montana St, hanging around, summoning their legacy, and winning this game somehow. Excellent week 0 watch.
What a wild game! Both teams gave it their all. It's always fun to see those last-minute thrills. 💥 And lol, at the end, I thought I was watching a movie with all those twists! Can't wait for the next match! 🏈

My favorite FCS team is Montana; and they are rivals of Montana St. But I’m still happy to see them win this game 😅
i watched this game and noticed that Montana State didn’t have helmet communication and I believe the same goes for New Mexico. but Florida State and GT had that. Norfolk State vs FAMU, and no helmet communication. I don’t have access to SMU vs Nevada but i’d assume SMU has it and Nevada doesn’t. SMU is wealthy.
so as expected, not all the schools have the resources that the power schools have and it goes right back to how everyone thought NIL will level the playing field: it won’t. obviously this isn’t NIL related but it should be noted.
but congrats to Montana State, 1 of 3 FCS over FBS that will happen this year.

All the schools you noted that don't are FCS schools. They haven't approved having communication gear in the game like the FBS just did. If there is a team that can't use it (don't have it or it doesn't work right) then both teams go without, but if a team just chooses not to use it (but could if they spent the money), the other team can still use theirs.
New mexico has it but not montana state because they don’t allow it in FCS playoffs

That was a heck of a game. Montana State is a heck of a good team/program. They could compete in the MWC along w/the Dakotas and the Grizz. New Mexico is rebuilding. They have a good coach in Mendenhall. They seem to be on the right trajectory. Great game.

Actually, Montana State was favored to win this game. They're an FCS powerhouse while New Mexico football has struggled mightily in recent years.

The quarterbacks for New Mexico and Montana State battled the whole game. Going into this matchup Montana State didn't worry about being down in points, found ways to run things effectively on the ground and the quarterback on their side was just to hard to stop. Throwing 2 td passes
and rushing for 1 touchdown shows me how much he wanted this game
for himself and his teammates. Adam Jones is one exciting dude at running back too.
New Mexico might of lost at home but the way they played no one can be mad at them.
They just need to finish games better than this one next time. Losses can hurt when it
ends in this sort of fashion because they had so much more control before the last quarter.

The Montana schools declined the MTN west and the WAC (back in the 2000's) we like playing for championships. Pretty rare for G5 schools to get to do that.

What a catastrophic loss for New Mexico, Losing at home to an FCS school despite being gifted two defensive touchdowns in the first quarter, and blowing a 17-point 4th-quarter lead in the process. This is the type of game that will turn a coach's seat burning hot in just one game.
Great win for MSU of course, but this says more about the Lobos than the Bobcats IMO.

Numerous chances to put the game away and they didnt. twice and easy reception on 3rd down would seal the game an yet the WR reciever drops an easy pass.
