@@Yourismouter i laughed out loud so often and loved the innocent 90's vibe before everything became fake in movies. all the actors played their parts exceptionally well. you root for him to get his act together! glad you loved it like i did. i've seen many of his films but will seek out more. Kanopy is where i found the film!

It’s a mini masterpiece and the most accurate movie about being an alcoholic I’ve ever seen. The closing shot, Tommy just staring off… a true moment of clarity depicted on film. Incredible, beautiful, real.

This version of the song and its respective use in the movie Trees Lounge really evokes The Shining to me. The two movies have some common ground to me beyond that too. I think Trees Lounge is much more haunting, personally, because I actually relate to it.

The singer is John Phillips from Milwaukee. The title is not quite right (Just How You Feel is a different “I Understand” song). It’s not on Spotify and other streaming services. I would pay a lot to get this on wax. As far as I can tell it is only known from Trees and I am very interested in how they found it.
