Those waters are absolutely breath taking. Never seen water that is that blue. I have fished the the Big Thomson in Colorado and several rivers and streams in Austrian alps but never have I seen water like that. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Using an indicator is basically,, the same thing😄 Indicator is a Small Bobber. Canadians did it decades before, anglers did here in the US. I know because I saw it on my way for Archery hunting for Moose and Caribou in BC😒
The Canal fish are that big for a reason the canal has large cage salmon farms in it the pellet food from those farms seeps out into the canal and the trout sit under the farm and eat that food which is designed to put weight on fast so the big trout while mostly naturally bred are all artificially fed to those proportions. So they are the Lie Great fun to catch though I have been a few times :)
Are these fish born in this canal? Not that it matter, they are gorgeous fish. I'm just curious. What are they eating that makes them so big? They gotta be eating a lot of protein, right? Shrimp, crawfish, sculpin, minnows, all of the above? Cheers, man. Incredible.
It’s the fish pellets in the water from local fish farms. Fish hunters nz are not disclosing that for some reason. Shame, shame. Dishonest to their RUclips audience for some reason.
