That attack on that boss is known to be bugged. The hitbox is fucked and it deals *way* to much damage. Hitboxes in general feel fine (after the dodgeroll changes).

Saw chris comment how end game needs no re tuning and everything is balanced. Imagine looking at a game in EA and yapping about it as it is the final product.

best melee builds use herald of ice + a ring that makes it self prolif and kill everything across multiple screens lol. And you bet they'll nerf the shit out of it but leave spark untouched

gemling legionaire, way too much dexterity and the gloves that give % atk speed per X amount of dextrity. tempest flury attacks make you move forward, and because his attack speed is this high, he moves forwards extremely quickly because his attack speed makes him finish his flurry in 0.01 seconds (or something like that) so he moves forwards the amount you would move forwards with flurry... in 0.01 seconds. and it just keeps going.

Elden Ring? You sure you want to use that game as the example here, bud? Elden Ring is notorious for enemies aggro switching and making mid-animation adjustments to hit you. Something you as a player cannot do. But that's a fully released GOTY game with over 2 years of polish. PoE2 just has some animation bugs, especially with frozen enemies. It's Early Access.
Also the thing he didnt realize there which is way more important IMO is that disdain makes dmg go past ES and with ghostshroud he had a whopping 700 hp, meaning any ES past like 4k doesnt matter for him anyways

Would like to address the Alkaizer's clip at 4:57 Everyone has their own way of approaching the game, and this is just how many may enjoy playing it. There's no how or actually or whatever nothingburger. It’s interesting to hear his take, since different styles can make the game more fun and varied but if developers will cater more to "hardcore" then it's hypocrisy more than anything, and will most definitely kill the game.
he just need to crit to proc choir of storm (amulet) dmg, but with his armour (temporalis) choir cd is zero, so with 1 crit the amulet proc itself forever (if you have 100% crit)
having been slogging it onwith witch hunter merc and trying to make crossbow attacks work together with armor and evasion seeing all these mage claseses and energy shield synergies and screen clearing clears makes me immensely sad. its not even funny which classes and playstyles GGG want, its blatant hatred for non mage spell classes, even the attacks and spirit gem passives shows it. and even being quadroiuble more tanky than an armorcharacter or armor evasion like mercenary mages still get one shot too. very cool design

@@wtfwasthat16 agree, the only saving grace in my monk run was that ice strike was a pretty reliable way to not interact with enemies by freezing them, combined with tempest bell and charged staff you can skip most non-boss content that way, and even most bosses died shortly after the first freeze. But for the first act, any time I tried melee it just felt a million times better to glacial cascade things from afar. Maybe it's just bc I struggled from the game being new, but that experience was pretty awful. Also, I now have to give up that monk bc everything I wanted to try on chayula monk turns out it sucks. Instant leech is only good if you play ranged or mace since quarterstaff phys skills are dogwater, into the breach is all passive no gameplay alteration, we don't talk about darkness, and the other two are only minor statboosts as well. Meanwhile invoker could've given me more phys DMG reduction than armour ever could, free spirit to stack auras, meta skill power (cast on freeze still works fine post nerf, fight me) or a major stat stick in unbound avatar. But I can't swap ascendancy bc GGG went the LE route of hardlocking the characters into one ascendancy, a thing players in LE already criticized a lot.

Looking at ranged characters, especially the faster ones like lightning rod/OOS or gas arrow deadeye, makes the whole experience you go through as melee feel pointless. You have 5x more struggles while getting 1/10 the loot an MF glass cannon build does, if not less, until you finally get your stuff to one shot bosses you can then farm for proper profit.
