I first heard the album Thembi in 1972. I had lived in New York City in 1969 and again in 1974. I saw Pharoah Sanders, Alice Coltrane and Rahsan Roland Kirk at Carnegie Hall that same year. Truly amazing concert that I will never forget.
Amazing... SUCH POWER and ENERGY. One of Sanders' BEST Concerts... total group
intense effort... unbelievable synergy!!!!!!
Really one of the best shows I've ever seen, everyone is so unique in their role. The power of Gurtu's subsonic bass is in the full effect.
I was 20 , and I was there with two wonderful sisters... Maybe the most amazing concert I've ever been... :) Thx for upload , love is forever :)
So impressive as well as expressive. What a mighty bassist Alex Blake is, and Trilok Gurtu is a transcendent drummer.
