Men you are golden! I scored 92% on my exam and I have to thank much more to you than my paid tutor! You should be very proud with this great work you are doing!
I've seen a lot of tutorials of all kind, from Mathematics, Programming, Physics... . I've never seen a professor (including the guys from MIT) explain things so clearly. It's obvious just from looking at those slides that you have put a lot of effort into your videos. Thank you very much mr. Foltz. :)
Mr.Brandon, your videos are potential life savers. Anyone who is in real need of an introductory level of knowledge, your videos are just the pills they need. I'm a post graduate analytics student and you are already popular among my batch mates. Many of them watch your videos to begin with and then continue with our course materials. Please continue the excellent work you are doing by helping millions of students and knowledge seekers out there. Kudos !!
Thank so much! :) I appreciate your kind words...but the high fives go to YOU. Awesome job my friend. You did it. You found the way. I just turned up the lights a bit. Treat yourself to something nice. :P All the best, B.
I cannot thank you enough for your videos! I'm in an online statistics class and wasn't having any trouble until I reached hypothesis testing. Your videos helped me understand the big picture for that material and I got a 99 on my test! High fives to you!
ur a lifesaver... I Thank God that I found a tutor like you who makes stats easy for a Master's student like me who has no idea of stats... I have my exam in Quantitative Analysis, and this is great...
Brandon....I don't know which I appreciate more: your encouraging and affirming words at the beginning and end of your videos or the clear and straight forward way you explain stats. I am a doctoral student who has hit the stats wall hard... but you have helped bring the bricks down! Please do not stop creating and posting these wonderfully effective videos!! Blessings to you!
I'm taking a quantitative class for my grad program and your presentations make my learning SO much easier. I shared your channel with classmates and hope they take advantage of your excellent videos.
I had almost given up on passing my Stats course for this semester. Thank you for those words of encouragement and your way of teaching is phenomenal! I am gonna try my best!
I wish you were my professor. Spent an entire semester knowing almost nothing about what's going on and within one week I'm almost up to speed for my exam. THANK YOU!
Oh thank you so so much Nick! I am so glad you find them helpful. Many students struggle with stats so I just try to do what I can to help. And yes concrete examples are the best! :) But the truly awesome people are those like yourself that have committed to learning and improving. Thanks again and all the best! - B
Thank you very much for the great video Sir. I'm a graduate student in informatics and I'm new to statistics, so I struggle on it every week. It's lucky for me to find your channel. This series of videos give me a lot of new understanding in just a view minutes. Awesome!
I'm having to use a textbook that completely skips defining the null or alternative hypothesis. I'm definitely going to share this with fellow students. Thanks for the video!
If all youtube faculties come on a common platform and create a university / college , millions of excellent graduates would come out every year of that institutue . Thanks for such explanation .
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VERY VERY HELPFUL VIDEOS ...I AM WATCHING THIS IN PREPARATION TO COMPLETING MY TAKE-HOME FINAL EXAM FOR BIOSTATISTICS - NOW IT IS FINALLY ALL COMING TOGETHER!!
The intro to this video has strong Dashboard Confessional vibes. And then it goes to an inspirational speech. I hypothesize that Brandon Foltz has owned a Relient K album.
Thanks for starting off the session with a pep talk! I like your conversational style and the pace of the session. The slides are visually appealing and examples are relatable and appropriate for this class level.
Hi Brandon- Thanks for all the free content you create. I'm working on becoming a data scientist and your stats playlists have been a great help to me. You are so kind and your videos are nice and simple. I've shared your channel with my class mates in my Master's of Data Science program at University of Wisconsin. Thanks!
one of the best presentations on this topic and I have gone through at least 4 different stats classes or review instances. good use of slide transitions to move concepts a long.
Thank you Brandon. I like your teaching methodology by revolving around an example problem. That actually helps to understand concepts much better. May God bless you for your valuable time and efforts
Sir to compare this video with any other video of others is totally foolishness. Hats off for such a buttery clarity. God bless you. Keep going higher and higher.
This was so extremely helpful! Thank you for going step by step. I actually, for the first time was able to understand, after months of trying. Thank you!
SUperb video... clarifies the concept in such detail with simplicity and interesting examples... If i could make such videos, my life would be so satisfying... well done
Brandon. I watched PL09 & 14. I feel that this information was as good as a paid course. So please accept this special thanks for taking the time to do these incredibly high quality vids. 😊🌎
Excellent videos i have ever seen for such really difficult topics...It has stimulated me to like statistics lot ..thanks..Pls cover other topics also...i can pay for that
Hi Brandon.....This indeed is a very special video as you are truly unfolding your knowledge in making people understand the basic concepts...which actually nobody cares to provide the students...Thnx...BIG FAN....
Thank you so much ... Your information is clear and easy to follow. Thank you too for your inspirational words. ... I am working my way through your videos and I will be sharing a link to your videos with fellow classmates. Best Regards ... Laura
Thanks a ton man! really cool and very well explained videos. just watched all 14 vids of this playlist I believe you are 3 times better than my stats teacher. Keep up the good work man. sharing this with the whole class xD . thanks :)
Very informative. Controlling type II error is left out in many books. My question however is : in which practical situations would you actually try to control type II error ?
I am currently in an intro to stats class and am completely LOST. You sir have blown my mind and have made all i have learned so far make soooo much more sense. By any chance do you have links to the PowerPoints so i can write on them and take notes as I watch along? Thank you so much again. You have an art for teaching.
Good evening mr Brandon. Today I am starting to watch your videos because I have an exam on statistics after 10 days. I must get a high grade from statistics I hope that these videos will helpful. After 10 days I will answer The Best Nicat :)
Nicos Yunusov Mr Brandon thanks for your video. Today my exam grades were anounced. I got 92 points. I am very grateful to you.because I understood te logic. You should be very proud of !
I have always loved your videos. Whenever I have to work on some analysis at work and I feel I have to go through the topics again I refer your channel. In simple beautiful manner you have explained statistics! :) I really wish if you could upload similar videos on Marketing analytics if possible.. Looking out a bit more clarity into customer segmentation and all of that.. Anyhow love your tutorial videos! Thank you so much!
@brandon flotz - thanks for the great video :) and also let me say thank you for the encouragement you have as an introduction of this vid, I'm a kind of student who doesn't like dealing with numbers but those words really brighten my hopes up, hope to learn more from the other videos :) thanks
first of all, thank you so much for this tip, but one suggestion: many of your lessons follow logically into your next lessons (e.g. hypothesis formulation -> null and alternative hypotheses -> type 1 and type 2 errors) and it would be great to see links to these other lectures. For example, after watching this, I'd want to know more about hypothesis testing and p-values but this page (and the sidebar) does not clearly point to those next subjects... yes, the sidebar sometimes does, but sometimes does not... So I have to go to the youtube search and look for what I need next, hopefully some of it is yours (or I can go to your page and search, but can you tell this is a bit more involved for some folks?) ... I would suggest adding links to closely connected topics (you would know better than most of us) in your "About" section or (i've seen other folks do this) add the "next" video to the top of the sidebar. I don't know how they do it, but I've seen other posters do this. Playlists also can work too (I noticed you have a few), but even THEY aren't all that obvious..... your material is so good, my suggestions are mostly to help you get more of it in our faces... thanks!
Hi skaai! Thank you for your comment and suggestions. All of my videos are in topic-level playlists and inside each playlist the videos are ordered in the proper content sequence. The problem (for me at least) is that I do not always make the videos sequentially. Sometimes I skip around or come back and add a video between to videos. So I am never 100% sure the publish sequence will match the topic sequence. For now, the playlists will have to do. There is a chrome extension (maybe Firefox too) that tells you if the video you are watching is part of a playlists. Can't remember what it is called though. Thanks do much for watching and all the best! - B
this video is a really good source for me .but I would really appreciate it more if you did one formulating a hypotheses experimenting amount of current use when :iron is used to press our clothes one time a week vs when iron is used to press our clothes everyday thank you!!!!!¡

excellent. Great lecture for online courses. Learning this Fall 2019.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VERY VERY HELPFUL VIDEOS ...I AM WATCHING THIS IN PREPARATION TO COMPLETING MY TAKE-HOME FINAL EXAM FOR BIOSTATISTICS - NOW IT IS FINALLY ALL COMING TOGETHER!!
Everyone can be good in any topic but not everyone can teach it as you do. Thank you for your time.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and being such a wonderful teacher.
